PLAIN AND SIMPLE - DO THE JOB

Bought these to replace the aged, torn rubber grips on a second-hand Giant Rock I bought as back-up to my Giant Roam bought from Tredz - so I obviously didn't want to spend much cash! They fit well, very plain - simply cover the bars - no shaping - but they do the job. The foam feel may not be to everyone's liking - very different from rubber which personally I prefer. But I should mention the problems encountered fitting them. There are no instructions because it ought to be a simple matter - but it's not! A helpful reviewer stated that he'd used soap - and frankly there's no way you would get them on without it. So I coated the bars with liquid hand soap (Carex or similar) and after 20 minutes was getting nowhere - about a quarter of the way up ONE bar. Then I had a Homer 'Doh!' moment. I coated my forefinger in liquid soap and thrust it into the holes at both ends of the grip itself (if you'll excuse the expression). Wiggled it around the interior of the grip (it's getting worse), then the grip slid on easily (what am I saying?). Of course you're left with extremely soapy grips so I soaked a large clean rag in cold water, wrapped it round the grips and used it to squeeze out the excess soap then left it all to dry. Forgive the Fifty Shades type review. Might not get past the censors - but if it does it may save a few buyers a lot of time.

    Good Value Grips.

I bought these together with some bar-ends. They are comfortable and went on easily after running some water through them. A big plus was that I didn't have to cut them to fit on the bar-ends, being foam, they simply "squash up" and make room for them. Cheap, too.

    My Hands Love Them

The Soft Grip made holding the handlebars so much more comfortable and easy on my hands.
