Very pleased good for the commute.

Bought this panniers for use commuting too and from the school I work in. They easily have enough room to take home the sets of books for marking as well as the other items I need for the school day. Very sturdy and well built my only issue would be that the straps to connect to my pannier rack at way too fiddley. Ill be buying some clips to secure them. Service from Tredz was excellent. Product arrived quickly and without any incident. Very happy overall.

Pannier Bags Guide

What are pannier bags?

Pannier bags hang from the sides of luggage racks and enable you to carry heavy loads with minimal fuss. A pannier either side evenly distributes weight and lowers the bike’s centre of gravity, although you can just use one for smaller loads.

Who needs pannier bags?

Panniers are great for commuting, as you can fit in everything you need – a change of clothes, shoes, lunch, laptop, files, etc. On a grander scale, panniers are the ideal accompaniment for touring adventures, as the equivalent of a suitcase.

What are the choices?

The pannier choice is vast, from attractive designs to classic colour schemes. Waterproofing is an obvious factor, to prevent soggy luggage. Panniers with straps mean you can easily transfer them from the bike and use as a bag and plenty of pockets or separate compartments make organisation a doddle.

What should I buy with them?

Panniers need a rack to hang from. If you’re hanging one at the front, you’ll need oversized bars. At the back, you’ll need eyelets in the frame for a rack or you can find quick release racks, although these carry less weight.

Anything else?

Panniers make a great alternative to backpacks when it comes to preventing back injuries.
