Product Description

The Cannondale Althea 2 women’s hybrid sports bikes lets you tackle pavement, dirt, gravel and tarmac thanks to an MTB inspired frame, knobbly tyres and 50mm suspension fork.

Cannondale’s Althea is an adventure bike with a quality SmartFrom C2 alloy frame which is fast and easy to handle on the rough stuff. Small frame sizes and a shorter reach is optimised for women riders.

SAVE micro suspension in the seat and chain stays increase your comfort and control on any terrain. Chunky 35c multi surface tyres are fast and grippy on dirt and pavement. Full rack and fender mounts improve daily utility. Upfront 50mm suspension is tuned for lighter female riders.

The Althea 2 comes with a wide range Shimano 24 speed drivetrain to help you tackle rugged climbs and smooth flats. Durable Maddux rims are rough terrain.

Disappointed at Spec change

I’ve been looking to purchase for a while but have been waiting for an inevitable end of season bargain. I’m only a casual rider and this bike appeared to meet all of my modest requirements. Tredz have sold the bike at a fair price and dispatched quickly (as always). On unboxing, it turns out that the components have been downgraded:( Rear mech is Shimano Altus as opposed to Acera, front mech is Tourney as opposed to Altus... I’ve ended up with a lower spec bike than was intended and feel a little short changed tbh. I know what the ‘small print’ says, nonetheless it’s an underhand tactic to make a few pennies extra profit. It’s certainly tarnished my opinion of Cannondale and to a lesser extent, Tredz. Turns out my bike wasn’t a bargain after all, as I’ve purchased an inferior product:((
