Great winter gloves

Bought these to replace Seal Skins winter gloves, fed up with lined gloves, once wet hands get cold. No point trying to keep mitts dry as sooner or later the rain gets in. These are great, wet suit like neoprene material, when wet your hands stay warm. Well constructed with good grip. Only downside is that if you take them off during a ride & your hands get cold they take a while to warm up again. Well worth the money and the best winter gloves I've had.

A blessing

I struggle with my fingers and the cold frequently when cycling. I have tried a number of gloves to no avail. I have eventually turned to the Castelli Diluvio and they have been great both in terms of keeping me warm as well as an amazing price!

How to measure yourself for gloves
hand circumference Use your left hand if you’re left handed, or right if you’re right handed. Keep your hand flat and use a tape measure to find the circumference of your palm at the widest point below your knuckles (excluding your thumb).
hand length Measure from the tip of the middle finger to the base of your hand.
The largest of these measurements is your correct glove size. Go with the larger size if you’re between sizes on the chart.

Cycling Gloves Guide

What are cycling gloves?

Cycling gloves are specially adapted to cosset your hands while riding. Cycling can put a lot of pressure on your palms, so dedicated bike gloves are very important.

Who needs cycling gloves?

Every rider will benefit from gloves. They aren’t just to keep your hands warm – they provide grip, protection and essential padding.

What are the choices?

Long fingered for winter, short fingered or mitts for summer. Off roaders might want long gloves, perhaps with armoured knuckles, all year round. There are gloves with minimal padding and seams, or mitts with gel cushioning to protect your nerves.

What should I buy with it?

More gloves! Most cyclists will need a long fingered pair of gloves in winter and mitts for summer.

Anything else?

About that little bit of terry fabric on the thumb – yes, it really is for wiping your snotty nose on as you ride. Because of this, you really need to be washing your gloves as often as you wash the rest of your kit.
