Product Description

The Cube Attain Pro Disc road bike offers a comfortable ride with lively handling that’s ideal for everything from epic rides to short, fast blasts. Every mile is a pleasure.

Frame:

The Cube Attain Pro Disc features an aluminium Superlite frame, its tubes carefully joined using our Smooth Welding technique. The rear end is superbly comfortable because Cube have incorporated more vertical flex to reduce road shocks and avoid transmitting them directly to the rider.

A carefully specced shock-absorbing carbon fork which, just like the frame, has clearance for tyres up to 28mm also improves comfort.

The tapered head tube and PressFit bottom bracket are connected by the stiff, complex profile, oversized down tube. This significantly increases stiffness, steering precision and drivetrain efficiency - meaning more speed. Internal cable routing keeps the line of the Attain Pro clean.

Components:

Cube’s Attain Pro Disc stakes its claim as a peerless fitness and training bike by cutting no corners in its specification. Shimano's Sora groupset - including 18 gears and the brake system - guarantees precise gear changes, safe stopping and long-term performance.

The compact chainset features 50 and 34 tooth chainrings and drives the rear wheel via a 11-32 cassette. High quality Cube RA 0.8 Aero Disc wheels shod with Continental Ultra Sport 2 racing tyres deliver high levels of grip and low rolling resistance.

First Road Bike

Having decided to start road riding, I looked around at plenty of bikes and options before deciding this was the one for me. As a first road bike I cannot fault it - it is of course slightly heavier than carbon frames a couple of hundred pounds more, but I'm more confident that I have a good spec bike with German build quality for my money.

Great value

My first road bike for years and the tech has moved on. The difference that the gear shift / brake lever functionality makes is huge. I've done about 150 miles and so far the frame has handled well. It feels quick with little loss of energy when getting out of the saddle. Well finished with a lovely paint job and reasonable quality components. You could pay more but for a hack on the weekend and a couple of days cycling to work this fits the bill perfectly. For all you tall guys I got the 62cm and at 6'5" and 35 inside leg I couldn't ask for more. Perfect fit.

One of The Best Buys in this Price Range

Well, after I unboxed this beauty, I just smiled and smiled. :-) Before the purchase, I've been open to spend a lot more on my new (and first) road bike, but in the end I've chosen this Cube. I watched a couple of reviews on the new, 2017 Shimano Sora groupset for example. It's important to know, that for this year Shimano completely redesigned it. True, it has a 9 speed cassette only, but the quality of the groupset is a lot better than it was in the previous years. Just take a look at the crankset or the brake levers. The second thing is the frame. Yes, it's aluminium, not composite, but Cube seemed to have (at least according to the reviews) very good reputation building excellent frames. ...So, i thought I take a chance on this reasonably priced bike. As I said, I've been just smiling, after I took the bike out of the box. It's GORGEOUS. :-) Of course, the looks is just one thing, but I must say, that all the other areas are absolutely alright. The gear shifting is instant and very smooth, the brakes need to be run in, but the feel is more than promising after the first couple of miles. Riding position is more on the racier side than the comfy, but the bike is not uncomfortable at all. To be honest, I was surprised, how comfy it is. In the past I rode an MTB for many years, using much wider tires, but this Cube a lot more comfortable than my old MTB. The factory default set is a 25mm Continental Ultra Sport, but - according to Cube's Website - 28mm tires officially fit. In my oppinion there is enough clearance for 30mm, too. SO... ...I'm absolutely happy with this bike, it's fun, it's great to look at. Obviously, it's not for the Tour, but for the money it's a fantastic bike. Highly recommended. ;-)
