Cube Nuroad Pro 2020 - Gravel Bike
When we set out to develop the Nuroad we had a destination in mind, but no specific route by which to get there. We did, however, have a lot of experience building great race and 'cross bikes. Figuring that this would be a great place to start, we combined the best of both genres to create our new, super-adaptable all-rounder. So, for example, the Nuroad's geometry is based on the comfort, stability and agility of our Attain series, but the sizing is the same as our Cross Race bikes.
We made sure there's plenty of clearance to run wide, grippy and comfortable tyres up to 40mm width, and even left room for mudguards with 35mm tyres too. Internal cable routing keeps your gears shifting cleanly even when the mud and water's flying around, there's a replaceable gear hanger and the carbon fork blades help take some of the vibration out of rough surfaces, so that you stay comfortable even on long rides.
When the road turns to dirt, what if you didn't have to turn around and go back the way you came? We built the Nuroad Pro to answer that question... and feed your spirit of adventure. Bridging the gap between tarmac and gravel, it's a machine that's tailor-made for riders who just want to find out what's around the next corner. Nimble, adaptable and designed to have the ability to go pretty much anywhere your curiosity takes you, the wide 40mm section Schwalbe tyres will take even the roughest of road surfaces in their stride.
Drawing on our experience of creating great-riding 'cross bikes, the Nuroad Pro's frame takes everything we've learnt about off-road-capable drop-bar bikes and road-racing bikes, and condenses it into a frame that combines the best of both worlds. So, for example, the geometry is based on the comfort, stability and agility of our Attain road series, but the sizing is the same as our Cross Race bikes. You can run up to a 35mm tyre and still have room for mudguards. The carbon blade fork and skinny seat stays help keep things comfortable in the rough and, with a reliable Shimano Tiagra 2x10-speed transmission and Tektro Spyre mechanical disc brakes, you've everything you need to ride to the edge of your world and beyond.
