Product Description

The Touring Hybrid Pro is - as you'd expect - as close to the perfect touring e-bike as it's possible to get. Completely reworked for 2018, it now boasts even better handling in an incredibly versatile package. Whether you use yours as a day-to-day commuter or on multi-day tours further afield, you'll find its combination of features and functionality hard to beat. The integrated luggage rack is light, stiff and amazingly versatile. A full complement of accessories - from mudguards and lights to kickstand - ensures you and your bike will always be ready for anything. And the superb component package - encompassing a comfortable Suntour suspension fork, powerful hydraulic disc brakes for safe stopping in any weather, and reliable 10 speed Shimano gears for tackling any road, no matter how steep - is proof that there's nothing else you need to fit this inspiring two-wheeled companion into your life.

The advantage of starting with a clean sheet of paper is that you can tweak everything until it's perfect. That's exactly what our engineers did with the brand new Touring Hybrid Pro, starting by repositioning the powerful battery to improve stability and handling. On the easy entry frame you'll find it just in front of the seat tube, while on the trapeze and men's frames it's been neatly incorporated into the sleek, hydroformed down tube - and protected from the elements with a custom cover. Our renowned Efficient Comfort Geometry was revised to create a livelier-feeling bike that's still stiff, stable and confidence-inspiring. The integrated rack is the best luggage-carrying solution around, combining superb stability and strength with low weight. We even finessed the looks, by employing smooth welds and routing cables internally to reduce maintenance requirements and help keep your gears shifting smoothly for longer.

Okay I've changed my mind

Sorry yes I wrote the other review and happy for it to be deleted! I think either battery wasn't properly charged or I was basing it on a particularly hilly route. Just did a 10 mile cycle today and wow bike performed brilkiantly. Power delivery was smooth and easily achieved 16mph on the flat eith enough extra on the hills. Brilliant bike. Can't believe I was so wrong.

So disappointing

I own a specialised crossroads which I added an electric bike conversion to. I bought this for build quality and potential longer range. Hardtop describe how disappointing it has been or who to blame. First of all it arrived without a UK if and tredz advised to buy one and they would refund. Of course I bought wrong type as it really need 13amps. Sorted that. The gear change is woeful and again hard to know if it's setup or deliberate. When changing down on a hill there a 1 second delay then a clunky noisy change while your legs spin with gears disengaged. You'll be changing gear a lot. It never just settles and cruises. Constant crunching through gears. Again Tredz advised to take it to local bike shop. This on a bike I've just spent £2,100 on! Power is okay but nothing startling. Range dropped alarmingly on hills and does go back up again as you get to flatter ground but still used up 12 miles of range on a 6 mile trip but was quite hilly. Sitting position for a "touring bike" is okay but not great. Biggest issue is with so much weight I. Middle it never feels truly balanced. You hit a small rock on road and does tend to tip to one side. Perhaps this element does just take getting used to. As I say hard to know who to blame but this so far seems the most collosal waste of money I've ever had.
