Dodgy build quality

I bought this post to replace the stock one on my Specialized Secteur due to the fiddly adjustment of a 2 bolt clamp and the fact that the saddle kept sliding in the clamp even though it was correctly torqued. This post has cured those problems and is slightly lighter as well. The paint finish is good but I was surprised to see that the hole for the clamp bolt was way off centre; at least 5mm.and very close to the hollow of the tube(about 1mm) creating a weak point. I have some Genetic track pedals that a superb so was not expecting this low build quality. One that slipped through the net?
