Giant Defy Advanced 1 - Nearly New - M/L 2015 - Bike

This Giant Defy Advanced road bike is in great condition. However, it has previously been ridden for a number of miles, and as such there is some wear on the drivetrain and tyres. Cosmetically, the bike also has some damage on the various parts of the frame as shown, and bar tape. The groupset has also been changed to full Shimano Tiagra.

Everything except the geometry has changed for 2015. This year, all the Advanced models are disc brake specific. Building the frame from the ground up specifically for disc brakes mean Giant were able to actually reduce frame weight - typically 50 - 80g is added when disc brakes are included.

Tapered seat stays that join to the seatpost lower down help to dissipate road buzz over a longer distance. When combined with the D-Fuse seatpost compliance has been massively improved over previous models. This ‘D’ shaped profile allows for more deflection for smoothing out impacts.

The relaxed endurance geometry, which has made the Defy so popular, remains with a slightly upright position - ideal for long days in the saddle. Lateral stiffness is excellent and power transfer immediate.

As well as the excellent composite frame you also get the performance orientated Shimano Ultegra drivetrain for precise and reliable gearing and shifting. The system is light and extremely reliable too.

Mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors give you all the stopping power you need on the roads, and they won’t be compromised because of weather conditions. That opens the Defy Advanced 1 to training sessions and riding in poor riding conditions.
