Product Description

The Hope Seat Clamp Quick Release will give you years of trouble free use. It's machined from sturdy billet aluminum and the QR lever pivots on a brass seat. The collar on the seat clamp is a universal style - meaning either bolted or QR can be achieved on the same collar (the QR does not come with a bolt, and vice versa).

Hope quality

I’ve had these clamps on all my bikes and they are of the usual Hope quality. The lever works nice and smooth make sure to add a little grease to the brass cam. They come in a range of colours to suit what ever colour scheme you use on your bike. Great service from Tredz.

Good quality, but mine is useless

I love Hope brakes and few other of their products, but this is the worst seat clamp I've used to date and I've used many really cheap ones. Every time you use the lever, the tension has to be readjusted, because it'll either go tight or loose (the screw at the end doesn't like to stay in place). If I could be bothered with the stealth seat post, it would already end up in bin, but it's just a matter of time...

Good but is it worth it

I purchased a pair of these shorts to use in conjunction with a cycle trainer they are really comfortable for extended periods of time in the saddle.

Seatposts Guide

What are seatposts?

The seatpost is the extendable metal rod that slots into your bike’s frame, with a clamp at the top to hold your saddle.

Who needs a seatpost?

Every bike has a seatpost, but a common reason for fitting a new one is to get a longer post for a leggy rider. Weight saving is another prime reason for upgrading.

What are the choices?

You need to pick the right seatpost width for your frame, but then you will have a choice of materials, from practical aluminium to weight-saving carbon. Mountain bikers can also opt for dropper posts, which are tremendously useful out on the trails.

What should I buy with them?

You might need a different seatpost clamp to go with your new seatpost and hold it firm in your frame.

Anything else?

Finding out which seatpost width you need can be a tricky business. With luck it will be stamped on the inside of your bike’s seat tube. It is measured down to tenths of millimetres, so eyeballing it with the tape measure won’t work.
