Product Description

With 27.5” plus sized tyres, dialled trail geometry and a 130mm travel suspension fork, the Merida Big Trail 700 is a hardtail MTB that gives full suspension bikes a run for their money. The 2.8” Maxxis tyres offer extra ‘float’ to soak up the bumps on the trail, as well as giving you more grip than the tyres you usually get on 27.5” wheels. The Merida Big Trail is ideal for taking on more challenging trail centre loops as well as adventurous cross-country cycling.

Key Features:

  • High-quality alloy frame with progressive trail geometry
  • SR Suntour Aion fork offers 130mm of plush suspension travel
  • 27.5” Plus wheels with 2.8” tyres for more grip and float
  • Shimano XT/SLX 1x11 speed drivetrain for trouble free shifting
  • Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes for all-weather stopping power
  • Sizes: Small (15”), Medium (17”), Large (19”), X Large (21”)
  • Colour: Black / Red
  • The Merida Big Trail 700 27.5"+ is available with 0% APR finance

Great with a few niggles
by Billy F on 04/08/2019

Had this bike for a few months now and am seriously impressed so far! Firstly the bike is smooth, the revelation forks work perfectly to soak up bigger bumps/jumps and when you convert to tubeless and lower tyre pressure the big plus tyres soak up all the small bumps and vibrations! A great combo! The bike runs silent which is great! Internal cable routing and component set ensure it. All you can hear is the rumble of rubber on loam! Brakes work very well out the box, however if you upgrade from the cheap resin only rotors it improves them vastly! Overall a great trail bike! I have upgraded stem, bars and rotors and have confidently been riding bike parks with big jumps drops! Down sides; - The dropper post is abit wiggly and the dropper lever is not the best! -The rotors are cheap so best to replace - Saddle is comfy but has worn really bad really quick, already needs replacing. I am reviewing this based on the fact I got it is sale for £1150
