Product Description

The Outeredge Aerotex reflective gloves are great for winter riding. The Aerotex membrane is both waterproof and breathable - even in heavy rain. The long cuff extends back up far enough to be covered by your waterproof jacket for complete protection.

When you?re riding daily whether for recreation or commuting it is the palm that tends to wear first. Outeredge has tackled this problem with a tough, reinforced palm. The Aerotex gloves are also surprisingly reflective - ideal for commuters. The large reflective logos and designs help to improve your visibility on the roads.

Not waterproof.

I bought these gloves on the reviews. They turned out to be not at all waterproof. I had ridden only a couple of miles in heavy rain and they were sodden. If you want waterproof gloves don't buy these..

Fantastic value

A couple of zero degree rides and they held up immaculately. Whilst there is very slight dampness after a hard ride its nowhere as bad as some other waterproof as opposed to resistant. They come up fairly large so if you like your gloves with a bit of space around your digits go your usual size but even downsizing on size should fit well. I haven't worn a better wet cold weather glove.

OuterEdge Aerotex Gloves

I am very pleased with this product. First time I used them rain came down very heavy. Over a 20 minute ride hands remained dry and warm.

How to get the best fit

Generally a man's glove size corresponds to his body size (Medium = Medium Gloves), if this is the first time you've bought gloves, it is wise to measure your hand with a cloth tape-measure.

  1. 1. Measure the length in centimeters around your dominant hand (right if you are right handed) at its broadest point, excluding thumb.
  2. 2. Measure from the tip of the middle finger to the heel of the hand.
  3. 3. Use the largest of these two measurements, usually the circumference, to suggest the correct size glove for you. This size should apply to fitted open and full fingered gloves

Cycling Gloves Guide

What are cycling gloves?

Cycling gloves are specially adapted to cosset your hands while riding. Cycling can put a lot of pressure on your palms, so dedicated bike gloves are very important.

Who needs cycling gloves?

Every rider will benefit from gloves. They aren’t just to keep your hands warm – they provide grip, protection and essential padding.

What are the choices?

Long fingered for winter, short fingered or mitts for summer. Off roaders might want long gloves, perhaps with armoured knuckles, all year round. There are gloves with minimal padding and seams, or mitts with gel cushioning to protect your nerves.

What should I buy with it?

More gloves! Most cyclists will need a long fingered pair of gloves in winter and mitts for summer.

Anything else?

About that little bit of terry fabric on the thumb – yes, it really is for wiping your snotty nose on as you ride. Because of this, you really need to be washing your gloves as often as you wash the rest of your kit.
