Product Description

A very capable enduro mountain bike with 160mm of full suspension travel the 2016 Specialized Enduro Comp (650b) is your ticket to all day riding with lots of technical descending.

The Enduro is a superb descender for gnarly enduro trails and is more than capable of uplift days and Alpine DH holidays.

Frame

This Enduro is built with an M5 alloy frame around 650b wheels which combine nimble handling characteristics without compromising rapid rolling properties.

The rest of the angles are fitting of an enduro bike of this calibre with a slack head angle, long wheelbase, short chainstays and a low bottom bracket. The Enduro Comp is naturally stable at speed and when cornering whilst remaining agile in tight technical sections.

Suspension

The Enduro is made for taking on the most technically demanding trails you can pedal up to. With 160mm front and 165mm rear travel to increase control over small bumps and big hits alike. New for 2016 is a Fox Float DPS (dual position system) shock offering improved compression damping settings that work especially well when climbing.

Kept from 2015 is the brilliant RockShox Pike RC fork. This is simply one of the best enduro forks on the market, especially at this price point. It is stiff, plush and pretty lightweight. It’s also the same fork you’ll find on the Enduro Elite and Expert Carbon models.

Specialized’s FSR suspension platform provides fully active suspension performance even while pedalling and braking.

Components

For 2016 the spec has been refined for enduro riding on tough demanding trails. A shorter stem length and wider bars improve steering response and stability when descending. The bars are 30mm wider for 2016, at 780mm. The stem is 15mm shorter at 45mm (small / medium) and 60mm (large).

This year the entry level Enduro has improved its climbing ability with the 11 speed one by SRAM X1 drivetrain (10 speed in 2015) with extra low gear ratios for easier climbing.

The addition of a dropper post means the Enduro is trail ready, right out of the box. Specialized's Command post comes with 12 steps of adjustability so you can get the perfect mid height for each trail section.

Key Features:

  • Dialled enduro geometry for confident descending
  • 160/165mm of full suspension travel for rough tracks
  • SRAM X1 11 speed drivetrain for hassle free shifting
  • Command dropper post to make the most of every trail
  • Sizes: Small, Medium, Large
  • The Enduro Comp 650b is available with 0% APR finance

Amazing bike

First of all I'd to say the delivery was amazing, ordered late Thursday evening, was delivered early saturday. The bike is simply awesome. So easy to move around and un-weight. So stable on tricky technical slopes even in soaking wet mud it stays composed. People may want to swap out the rear tyre for something with more central grip. Only TINY downside was the gears were rather poorly indexed from around 4th-8th with the rear mech skipping. But Ill put that down to everything bedding in. I have no doubt this bike will handle anything thrown at it.

I love it!

So, I did a load of research, over a few months and shortlisted this bike. I arranged a test ride through a local Specialzed Concept Store and loved it. They were not able to match the finance option that Tredz can offer so bought it from here. It looks great! I really fancied the Enduro Elite in Orange but couldn't quite stretch to that as it was £500 more expensive... I went for the Comp in the stealthy black - I think 'black is the new black' for 2016! It's light, strong and fast. Get one, you won't be disappointed. Oh... excellent service from Tredz all round too!

Very Happy

Light, very strong, good parts. Smooth ride the only problem is rear tire, too slippery on wet not bad when on dry.
