Product Description

"I'd have a real hard time spending four times as much money for what I feel are the pretty negligible benefits of a carbon hoop. Instead, I'd pick up a set of the Arch MK3 rims, put them on my bike, and proceed to forget about them. You can't ask for much else." | Mike Levy - Pinkbike.com

Designed with input from their Enduro World Series teams, the new Arch MK3 is ready to own every trail. WideRight optimized for maximum stability with 2.25" to 2.5" tires, Stans have expanded the internal width out to 26mm while keeping the rim incredibly light. The 27.5" Arch MK3 weighs only 425g.

A new proprietary alloy and stronger, low-profile rim shape means the new Arch MK3 is built to last. Featuring Bead Socket Technology, the new Arch MK3 also offers the unmatched traction, control, and reliability only found on genuine Stan’s NoTubes rims.

great Rims at a good price
by Anonymous user on 24/01/2020

I have a set built that are lightweight and very durable. I keep looking at other rims for another wheel build but keep coming back to the Arch Mk3 as the best combination of strong, light, cheap(ish). So I guess Keith Bontrager wasn't totally correct...

Why go carbon?
by Anonymous user on 07/05/2018

I built these up with a lowish spoke tension as recommended, they came true really easily. Very light for the intended use and ride really nicely, perfect width for 2.3" tyres. I can't comment on durability yet, only time will tell.

Wheels Guide

What are wheels?

Wheels are probably the second most important part of your bike, after the frame. A lot of the bike’s riding characteristics come from its wheels.

Who needs wheels?

A wheel upgrade can make a massive difference to your bike. Because of this, you might consider a new set of wheels, even if the old ones aren’t worn or damaged.

What are the choices?

Mountain bikers choose their wheels in 26in, 27.5in or 29in size, depending on what their frame is built for. Road bike wheels are 700c. Beyond this, there’s a dizzying array of rim material and depth, spoke type and hubs galore – enough to make your head spin faster than your wheels.

What should I buy with them?

A wheel upgrade always deserves a lovely new set of tyres. These too have a massive impact on how your bike rides.

Anything else?

There are several approaches to buying wheels – you can buy a full wheelset, for perfect pairing, or you can take a modular approach, picking hubs and rims before having a new set built to your specification.
