Very good....but...

I got this because I wanted a bar bag that was waterproof and made with with heavy duty materials. I haven't been out in a downpour yet but am confident that this bag will fit this particular bill. The fittings of the mount to the handlebars and the bag to the mount are both very secure. I liked the idea of the computer bar which I wanted to use for my Mio computer and also my Shimano action camera. The bar worked well for the computer, but was far too springy for the action cam on an 'out front' mount and made for a very bouncy movie! An 'out-front' mount for a computer etc might also mean that you have to take the computer bar off before the bag will fit on the handlebar mount. The map case / cover on top of the bag is useful. The cover is secured by two poppers at the back. It was however a bit of a squeeze for a folded OS Landranger map and left a gape at the back that could let water in. An OS Explorer map was too thick to fit at all. There is a small zipped pocket at the front of the bag that's fine for keeping cash or cards or anything thin - but it's only just wide enough to get your fingers in. Overall I'm happy with the bag as it will deliver the main things I was looking for, but there are some buts.
