Product Description

Relieve the pain of tubeless conversion with Airshot. Simply charge the Airshot bottle with a tack pump or even a hand pump and then use this to seat the tyre on the rim by delivering a large volume of air quickly.

9/10 MBR New Products Test (November 2015 issue)

Tubeless MTB tyres offer many benefits but seating tubeless tyres can be problematic. Airshot is the ideal solution. Simply charge Airshot with a track pump, connect the hose to the valve on your wheel then release the tap to seat your tyre. It's as simple as that.

The ability to charge it from a normal track pump means that you can use it to swap tyres at races, weekend adventures or even on mountain bike holidays.

Take the hassle out of fitting tubeless tyres with Airshot

Key Features:

  • Aluminium bottle can be charged up to 160psi

  • Presta valve for easy charging with a track or hand pump

  • Hose connects securely to Presta tubeless valves

  • Adaptor (included) allows you to remove the valve core for quicker inflation

Occasionally, without notice, manufacturers change product design and/or specifications.

Amazing looking but just didn’t do the job
by Anonymous user on 30/06/2020

Purchased to seat 2 schwalbe tyres, despite numerous attempts it just didn’t do the job. Reverted to my home made lemonade bottle version which did them both first time. Disappointed as had good reviews but lost faith in its ability.

Works well

After struggling to get the tyre to seal, the Airshot, combined with a load of hand cleaner soap, did the job. I now feel a bit more confident to replace a tubeless tyre in the future.

Converted to tubeless
by Anonymous user on 29/05/2020

Very handy addition to my tool kit, makes seating the tyre on the rim very straight forward, and a key part in over coming some of the myths around tubeless tyres.

Expensive but works well
by Anonymous user on 27/05/2020

Just converted to tubeless and bought this on a recommendation. Used it on 25mm + 28mm road tyres and it worked first time on both. No problems so far. Can't comment on how it handles off-road wheels/tyres. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Mavic EN521 First Time!
by Neal N on 21/02/2019

Spent ages looking at youtube videos on how to go tubeless soapy water, dry runs etc etc I have some old Mavic EN521 rims which i thought might be a pain. Put one layer of gorilla tape around the rims. Then I bought some Schwalbe Magic Mary and Nobby Nics. Put them on with tubes over night......next day the Airshot got both tyres seated first go and no ping sound. Put some Stans through the valve Airshot them again and bobs yer uncle! No issues and done :) Only issue was I originaly had Schrader valves so had to get some new presta ones and put them in a Schrader sized hole. The Schwalbe tubeless valves I bought come with a little plastic adapter that seats between the rim and the nut. Bit dodge but no air leak so far. Track pump wouldn't seat these tyres so Airshot was needed.

Does what it says on the tin...seated my stubborn Maxxis first time! It was getting difficult to inflate after 120psi,felt like my pump was going snap, that could be my old pump though.

Four trys to infate
by Anonymous user on 28/11/2018

Had this given as a birthday present and gave it a first try after puncturing and loosing some Slime sealant on my Shwalbe Pro One 25mm road tyre. I needed to add some sealant as I'd lost a lot when puncturing. It took four attempts to seat and seal the tyre The cylinder simply isn't big enough in my opinion, it's much more positive using co2 cylinders. disappointed really, I expected a more positive result. It may have been because there was already sealant in the tyre as I have had this problem before when using co2 cartridges but it is simply not an advantage over co2 so I don't recommend this product.

Bike Pumps Guide

What are bike pumps?

A bike pump is essential for keeping your tyres inflated, preventing pesky pinch punctures and providing more efficient riding. Tyres gradually deflate even if your bike stays inactive for a while, so it’s good practice to top them up as often as you can.

Who needs a bike pump?

Anyone with a bike. A mini pump or CO2 cannister can be vital in getting you home after a puncture, or to work on time if you’re commuting.

What are the choices?

Traditional pumps are easy to use and inexpensive to buy. A hand pump is operated with a pumping action and is available in standard or mini size. Both types can be fitted to eyelets in your bike frame or smaller pumps will fit in a saddle bag. Track or floor pumps are great for the garage – inflating high psi levels in just a couple of movements. CO2 cannister instantly release air into your tyres and are diminutive in size.

What should I buy with it?

If your pump isn’t compatible the valve on your tyre (Presta or Schrader) you may need to buy an adaptor. CO2 cartridges require a small adaptor for use.

Anything else?

A gauge is a good way of seeing how much air you’ve added, preventing the dreaded pop sound from an overambitious inflation. Also, NEVER take CO2 cartridges with you on an aeroplane!
