A rack that fits on every bike I had & value for money

I originally bought the narrower Road bike version so I can have the extra room space to pedal as got fed up kicking my panniers, I bought this one to fit my Bickerton as it's original one wasn't good for panniers. This one was the only one that would fit a Bickerton & give the pedalling & pannier space. This one I last ordered from Tredz is now my 4th one as it's a great rack that fits every bike I have with high load capacity & means my Orlieb panniers can easily be moved from one bike to another. It's price is well worth the quality & suitability of the rack.

Good for road bike

Fitted this on my road bike which has no eye lets or drop outs. The bottom fits easily to QR and the top piece fits nicely on to the brake caliper and it looks very sturdy. I am not sure whether it is suitable to carry heavy load. Tredz customer service is excellent.

Not for disk brakes

Looking to fit to a hardtail MTB. To make this fit with the supplied brackets the rack is going to be leaning backwards.. The rack seems tough so once I have been creative with making a couple of brackets should be good to go!

Fitted on Moda Rondo

Looked at a lot of racks before choosing this one. The Moda Rondo MTB does not have ready made lugs for fitting racks, so the fitting method of this product seemed the best, by description. I have now fitted it. It fits perfectly, it's light, strong and looks good too.

Not compatible with all disc breaks

Lightweight and sturdy enough, however it did not fit my alfine 11, even after i drilled the holes bigger in order to fit through the axle. Easy enough to fit...

Not perfect for all disc bikes!

This is a good quality pannier rack but it doesn't quite fit my Cube cross disc bike. I can just about attach it but the disc mechanism catches on the pannier frame and cannot properly reset itself. Having said that I did put up with it for a couple of days and should have bought a bike with proper rack fixings in the first place!

Axiom Streamliner Disc Deluxe Rear Rack

Fantastic rack good quality materials and well put together. Was concerned about the bottom fastening from what Id read on another review site but all I can conclude is that they hadn't put it together correctly! Using it with Ortlieb Back Roller 40 Litre Rear Pannier Bags and no problems even when going on the off road cycle paths.

Bike Racks Guide

What is a bike rack?

A bike rack is a great way of carrying your luggage around on your bike, making them perfect for commuting, touring or family adventures. The rack fits securely to your bike, eliminating the need for a rucksack to burden your back. Racks are easily fitted and removed, so they don’t have to stay in place all the time.

Who needs a bike rack?

Anyone who carries luggage. Whether you’re cycling to work, sightseeing or having a few days away, bike racks are ideal for bearing the brunt of the load. A bike rack is also a great idea for those who suffer from back pain or that find rucksacks uncomfortable.

What are the choices?

There are two locations for bike racks, at the front and rear of your bike. Both can be used to carry luggage. Choose from strong, durable material that is as light as possible. You’ll also need to check that the rack will fit to your bike without getting in the way of any of the components.

What should I buy with it?

The choice of accompanying baggage is endless. Pick from a small, compact bag for occasional jaunts, double panniers for a weekend away or multi-compartment bag to keep yourself organised.

Anything else?

Check the load capacity of your rack – you don’t want to set off and leave a trail of spilt luggage in your wake. Or worse, damage your bike because you’ve packed everything AND the kitchen sink.

See our Luggage guide for more.
