The Boardman MTR 9.0 is built for riders who want a capable, confidence-inspiring full-suspension bike that thrives on demanding UK trail terrain. Its 6061 alloy chassis features a longer top tube and slacker head angle, creating a stable, planted feel on steep, technical sections while keeping the steering sharp enough for tight corners and rapid changes in direction.
Suspension performance is a standout feature. Up front, the RockShox Pike Select fork provides 130mm of highly tuneable travel with a stiff chassis for precise tracking. At the rear, the Deluxe Ultimate RCT shock delivers controlled, supportive movement that smooths out rough surfaces and keeps the back wheel gripping predictably through technical features and fast descents.
Shimano's SLX 12-speed drivetrain brings crisp shifting and reliable power transfer, helped by a wide 10-51 tooth cassette that offers gearing for climbing steep pitches and accelerating along open trail sections. Tackling variable conditions is made easier by the Maxxis Dissector front tyre and Maxxis Rekon rear, both in 29x2.4" with EXO casings for durability and confident grip.
Braking is handled by Shimano’s powerful M7120 4-piston hydraulic units with 180mm rotors, giving consistent control on loose, fast or wet terrain. The WTB tubeless-ready wheels balance strength and weight, and the bike comes equipped with a dropper post to help you move freely when the trail drops away.
From long, flowing routes to more technical challenges, the Boardman MTR 9.0 is designed to help you ride with confidence, support and a real sense of fun.
