Product Description

With its race bred-performance the Cannondale CADD Optimo Disc Tiagra is a road bike that offers the perfect gateway to performance cycling.

With Elite Race Geometry the CAAD Optimo has exactly the same angles as the CAAD12 and SuperSix Evo race bikes. This means that you get true race handling and body positioning. The lightweight SmartForm C2 frame offers a smooth ride thanks to the SAVE flex zones in the rear triangle and carbon bladed fork. This built in compliance absorb the shock of rough road riding without compromising the immediate power transfer and nimble handling characteristics.

The Optimo is designed specifically for disc brakes. These offer great modulation as well as more power for much improved overall stopping control. The Shimano Tiagra 2x10 speed drivetrain with FSA Omega compact chainset offers reliable shifting with a good spread of gears. Integrated rack and fender mounts add versatility.

The Cannondale CAAD Optimo Tiagra is where performance begins.

Great 1st timer

I'm 44years old. 5'11" tall. And a little wide around the edges. This is my 1st road bike. I bought the 58 frame and it's perfect. The bike is stable, responsive and comfortable. My 1st ride was 15miles, the 2nd 32. I happily reached speeds of 42mph. Gear changes are quick and feel good to a novice like me. Although, they will need a slight adjustment soon. The one gripe, it's no hill climber, be prepared to work on steeper ground. It could do with those extra couple of gears. On the whole, really happy with the CAAD Optimo. And, Tredz did a great job in getting the bike to me in good shape.
