At the heart of the Longtail Hybrid Comfort 800 is a purpose-built aluminium frame designed around carrying weight safely and predictably. Comfort Ride Geometry, an oversized head tube and long wheelbase give it a planted feel, even when fully loaded. Total system weight capacity reaches up to 200kg, with the extended rear carrier rated to carry up to 60kg.
Bosch’s Cargo Line motor provides smooth, powerful assistance that stays controlled when pulling away with cargo or climbing hills. Paired with the 800Wh battery, it delivers strong support for repeated trips without constant recharging. Power delivery feels natural and measured, helping maintain balance when riding at lower speeds.
The Enviolo Heavy Duty hub gear system offers stepless shifting that’s easy to use and well suited to stop-start urban riding. Combined with a Gates CDX belt drive, it’s quiet, clean and low maintenance, ideal for daily transport duties in all weather.
Braking is handled by Magura Gustav Pro hydraulic disc brakes with four-piston calipers and large 203mm rotors front and rear. They provide controlled, consistent stopping power when riding with passengers or heavy loads. Wide Schwalbe Pick-Up tyres add grip, stability and puncture protection, designed specifically for cargo use.
Practical details make everyday use simple. A twin-leg kickstand keeps the bike stable while loading, the telescopic seatpost and Speedlifter stem allow quick tool-free height adjustment, and integrated front and rear lights keep you visible. Modular accessory options include child seats, safety rails, front carriers and Eurobox adapters, making this a flexible choice for replacing car journeys with confident, capable riding.
