Product description

The Cube Stereo HPA Pro (27.5”) is a solid full sus enduro / long travel trail bike for taking on any trail you point at it. It climbs like a marathon and descends like a freeride bike. Quality frame construction and good value component spec define the Stereo 160.

You can buy the Cube Stereo 160 HPA Pro through a 0% interest Tredz Finance Package.

Frame

At the core of the Cube 160 is a triple butted 7005 aluminium alloy frame. The triple butting reduces weight making it a much more efficient climber. Custom shaped hydroformed tubes also help to reduce weight and increase durability of the frame.

Geometry has been dialled in thanks to the slack 66.5 degree head angle, low bottom bracket height and long wheelbase. Stabile at speed, cornering is controlled and confidence boosting.

An X12 bolt through rear axle improves stiffness at the rear end while allowing quick and easy wheel changes. A tapered steerer tube increases rigidity up-front and makes for precision steering.

Suspension

Up front you get a Manitou Mattoc 160mm travel fork which is plush and capable for enduro riding. The Manitou Radium shock has four levels of compression damping ranging from supersensitive DH mode to lockout for climbing.

The key talking point has to be the active 4 bar suspension system (similar to Specialized’s FSR system) with a pivot on the rear stays next to the axle. This means suspension remains active under braking and chain tension isn’t affected whilst pedalling.

You get no pedal kickback or pedal induced bob. Sealed cartridge bearings on all pivot points means the suspension is supple.

Components

2x10 speed Shimano Deore/XT drivetrain gives you plenty of range for tackling steep climbs and rapid descents. The XT Shadow plus rear mech helps to keep your chain in place when the going gets rough.

Hayes Radar hydraulic disc brakes give you all the stopping power you’re going to need on tricky technical trails. They’re consistent in all weather conditions so you can ride through the muddiest, wettest run in confidence.

It’s great to see a dropper post on a full sus at this price point. The RFR 120mm adjustable post comes with a handlebar lever so you can really throw yourself around on the frame.

Great bike quick delivery

Great bike and delivered quickly and no fuss, easy to put together last bits in seconds, they even threw in some cheap peddles so you wouldnt be stuck. Bike is amazing, rides downhill like downhill and on flat like a x-country and climbs well, really fast and yet nimble. prefer it to Trek Fuel and slash 9.5 ive tried at BP wales...great bike

Stereo 160 Pro, Great bike

Been on a hard tail for 4 years and decided I wanted a full sus trail bike, did a lot of research and came to the conclusion the Cube Stereo is the best sub £2300 bike of this type on the market, granted the forks could of just been a stock Manitou colour but with this bike everything is good quality a with the exception of the wheels everything is non OEM which for a stock bike a rarity. I personally run single at the front and re-routed the dropper post cable internally but have left everything as it came, after setting up the shock pressured and bedding the brakes in I went on a 3h blast and was more than impressed with this bikes performance and the brakes (if you take the glaze off and shampher the pads) are very good. This frame also has the option to install a three bolt chain guide which it doesn't say on the description. This bike is very good and I'm glad to say I took the risk in purchasing as it's not regretted at all. I'm 6ft and the 18 is spot on, dropper post performs just as well as my KS supernatural. Bike also came with a Tredz bag (which my som uses for swimming) and some Haribo sweets (which my son ate!) Excellent bike.

great bike, value for money

If you are in the market for a full suspension bike with long travel, then look no further than her, 160mm of travel, big brakes, dropper post and wow it looks amazing, if i had to find something to complain about it would be the entry level Hayes radar brakes (although they do stop you) and the entry level Manitou Mattoc fork, for the kind of money spent they could have at least made it the Expert or Pro version instead of the Comp, but I'd definitely recommend to anyone still.

Great entry level enduro/trail bike!

great beginner bike for anyone who is entering the enduro world. i did need to get it serviced by a qualified mechanic and the hydraulic brakes were full of air which in turn made them not work. however it only cost me £25 to get the shock, brakes and forks all set up correctly to my weight. overall i cant find a flaw with the bike!
