How do you build the ultimate mountain-taming e-MTB? Simple. Give the CUBE design team a black sheet of paper and tell them not to compromise. And here's the result: the Stereo Hybrid 140 TM, a Bosch e-bike to redefine your expectations. Power comes from Bosch's CX PowerTube drive system coupled to Shimano's peerless 11 speed XT transmission, for practically seamless shifts and a gear range wide enough to tackle any climb. Braking is handled by Magura's MT7 hydraulic discs with oversized 203mm rotors front and rear. Combined with a 150mm travel Fox 36 Float GRIP fork, Float DPX2 EVOL shock and 2.6in Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres - Magic Mary at the front and Nobby Nic at the rear, both with Supergravity sidewalls - it's a potent setup to put you in full control of any trail situation you encounter. The Fox dropper post gives you more scope to check out steep lines in perfect control, and we topped the whole lot off with a light, strong and stiff Newmen wheelset and Race Face cockpit components. If you've been searching for the best all-mountain e-MTB... you just found it.

A great bike for an experienced trail rider exploring eMTB

So I have had a few mountain bikes over the last 30 odd years. My mat recent before me bing to eMTB was a TREk full suspension bike that has served me wel on the varied trails of the South Downs. My usual rides are between 20 to 30 miles off road. Last week I took delivery of the Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 TM. I’ve had the chance to ride it out twic since then. The first time it was dry and on hills where I would really need to work hard the electric support allowed me to glide up in much less time and on the rough downhill trails I travelled at my usual manic speeds, the thick tubeless tyres and full suspension absorbing my the shocks and keeping my descent stable. The second ride was a 30 miler involving a very steep hill initially which I glided up with ease. I then encountered mile after mile of thick gooey mud that I have to admit would probably have defeated me on my Trek but on this break me it cut through it easily. Needless t say when I got home I needed to hose the mountain off myself as well as the bike. The bike is heavier than the TREk but not noticeable unless lifting over styles. The Bosch motor is quiet unless in turbo mode, contrary to some reports. The battery on full charge lasted throughout a tough 30 mile off road ride in muddy conditions with about 20% charge left. On a dry day I would expect to use less charge. Great brakes and drop seat. A well built bike which is great fun
