The Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 EXC 800 is built for riders who want a capable and adaptable e-MTB for trail riding. Its Aluminium Superlite frame uses a proven FSP 4-Link suspension layout and Agile Comfort Geometry to balance stability with responsive handling, helping you stay in control on climbs, descents and technical sections.
Powered by Bosch’s Performance Line CX motor, it delivers up to 120Nm of torque for strong, consistent assistance on steep climbs and longer rides. The 800Wh PowerTube battery provides the capacity for extended trail sessions, letting you explore further with fewer range concerns.
Suspension is handled by a Fox 36 Float AWL fork and matching Float Rhythm RC rear shock, both offering 140mm of travel. This setup helps smooth out rough terrain and maintain traction, giving a composed feel when trails get more demanding.
The Shimano XT 1x12 drivetrain provides precise shifting and a wide gear range, making it easier to manage cadence across varied gradients. Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes with ABS add consistent stopping power and improved control, particularly useful on loose or steep descents.
Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.6in tyres deliver a good balance of grip and rolling efficiency, while the tubeless-ready wheelset adds durability and puncture resistance. A dropper seatpost enhances control on technical descents, and integrated mounting points allow for accessories like mudguards or a carrier if needed.
Overall, the Stereo Hybrid ONE44 EXC 800 is a well-rounded trail e-bike that combines capable suspension, reliable components and strong motor support for confident riding across a wide range of terrain.
Bosch Performance Update 2.0
Bosch have dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors, and it’s a big one for riders who want more punch on the trails. The update is available for the latest generation motors with the codes BDU384Y and BDU386Y, and it can be installed straight from the Bosch eBike Flow app. Nice and easy.
Once you’ve downloaded Performance Update 2.0, you can crank the motor up to a huge 120 Nm of torque, with up to 600% support and 750 watts of peak power. Bosch have also tweaked things so the motor can hold that power for longer when the riding conditions allow.
The 600% support figure only kicks in between 0 and 15 km/h, so it’s all about helping you power up steep climbs and tricky sections. The maximum assisted speed stays the same at 25 km/h.
As with previous Bosch updates, you can still customise the motor settings in the app to suit your riding style. Whether you want maximum power for steep tech climbs or a more natural feel on longer rides, you can dial it in how you like it.
Performance Update 2.0 is available for all CX Gen 5 and CX-R Gen 5 motors. It also brings Extended Boost (Bosch Overrun) and support for the new drivetrain tensioner system, which helps reduce lag when you get back on the pedals. Bosch are also adding more features and connectivity options, including Garmin integration and new power supply options.
One thing worth keeping in mind — more power means more stress on drivetrain components, so increased wear is expected over time. If you’re unsure about compatibility, servicing or upgrading components, get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help.
