Great product.

Great product and looks good. Wide clamping on bars and really low profile had to put an extra spacer. Recommended.

Confidence inspiring

I got this stem to help with confidence descending on my xc mtb. It is perfect! The reach is so much better so i can move further back without feeling out of control and the steering is more responsive, something i had struggled with before when i needed to reach forward and loaded the handlebars more than ideal. The stiffness of the stem is noticeable over the original i had. Being a xc bike it was long compared to this one but it doesnt feel out of place. The cosmetics of this stem are gorgeous. It looks sturdy being so chunky, but elegant with the plain aluminium finish and neat design features. Honestly i hadnt noticed the black version but when you get an upgrade like this you want to show it off. A heads up this is a shallower stem on the steerer tube so just remember you might need some more headset spacers. Caught me out but i had some laying about from another bike. Enjoy your purchase! You will love it.

Stems Guide

What are stems?

The stem is the component that attaches your handlebar to your fork steerer. It has a clamp at either end, at 90 degrees to each other.

Who needs a stem?

Stems rarely need to be changed due to damage, but you might decide on an upgrade to save weight or to change your reach on your bike.

What are the choices?

Although your choice will partly be based on getting the right clamp size for your handlebars, you will also need to decide what length stem you want. Longer stems will increase your reach, while a shorter stem will decrease it and can sharpen up your bike’s handling.

What should I buy with them?

Many people will choose to upgrade their handlebar along with their stem, for compatibility or to get a pleasing matching set.

Anything else?

It’s crucial that you check the clamps at both ends of your stem are compatible – you need one for the right size headset and the right handlebar width.
