    Dahon 10s D9 folding bike

Great bike. Quality build, easy fold and most important, fantastic ride. Its more like riding an ordinary bike. Very rapid and smooth shifting gears. Wish it came with mudguards, not easy to find ones that will fit. Not really a bike for a "multi-modal commute", as its a bit cumbersome to carry far, but great for putting in back of car. Very pleased with this purchase, and also Tredz excellent customer service.

    Excellent platform but upgrades needed!

Received my ios d9 a week ago from Tredz, who were helpful and kept me updated on the order processing as there was a delay on the bike arriving from Dahon. The bike itself has an excellent frame, wheels and brakes and the folding mechanism is sound. Still quite big when folded, which is to be expected from 24 wheels. It is also extremely light for a folder. I do feel slightly let down with some of Dahon 's cheap components being the flagship model. The stock tyres were rubbish and cheap, like riding a tractor with loads of rolling resistance. So called ergonomic grips hurt my thumbs and palm, the saddle was awful, the same as on the Dahon sidewalk. A real grandma saddle that you sink into and it hurts. I've straight away upgraded to schwable slick kojak tyres, fizik saddle, decent pedals and MTB Easton grips all of which have really transformed the ride for about £100 extra. Overall an excellent steed for commuting or even a weekend ride, although I'll stick to my race bike for that. However, has really benefitted from a few upgrades.
