Built for the trail. The DiamondBack Heist 1.0 27.5 is a hardtail mountain bike that is packed full of dialled MTB features at an entry level price point.

With its slack and low slung geometry combined with 120mm of suspension travel up front the Heist is ideal for having more fun on challenging trails. The robust hydroformed aluminium alloy frame offers a responsive ride feel and features butted tubes to keep the weight down. The 27.5” wheels perfectly balance rapid rolling performance with nimble handling.

It’s great to see such a capable ‘one by’ groupset on an MTB at this price point and the Shimano SLX 1x11 speed drivetrain combines secure shifting with a wide range of gears for taking on all the varied gradients on the trail. When Gravity takes over the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes deliver confident all-weather stopping power.

Tame the trail on the DiamondBack Heist 1.0.

    Baby Heist

Well the baby of the Heist range is by all accounts a cracker. It maybe the cheapest but the quality is tremendous, and a proper head turner as well. Downside (for most folk) is its a bit weighty, however I wanted a heavier bike as weigh bugger all. The seat. oh god the seat, a saddle made by an ****hole, If Lego made a bike seat it would be comfier than the one Diamondback have come up with. I've sat on comfier spikes. Also the seatpost clamp wasn't tightened up properly so the seat wouldn't stay in position, I bought the bike to get back into trail riding, something I haven't done since I was 18 (I'm 32 now) so I wasn't willing to spend over a grand. This coming in at just under £600 and with the quality components ticked the boxes for me, Well worth it. Just get a new seat.
