Product Description

The Garmin Edge 520 GPS enabled cycle computer is a powerful and compact training aid that's designed to give you all the data you need to improve your performance.

This Edge 520 bundle comes with a heart rate monitor, speed and cadence sensor so you have everything you need to start tracking your performance.

The Edge 520 is packed with impressive new features including integration with Strava live so you can receive segments sent directly from Strava. Compete for a King of the Mountain, beat a personal best or thrash your mates.

The Garmin Edge 520 can also report cycling specific VO2 max and recovery time data when used with a power meter and a heart rate monitor. Pair with Garmin Vector power meter pedals and you can see the comparative power through each pedal.

Another new feature is the ability to pair with compatible ANT+ indoor turbo trainers. This means during those long and dark winter months you can use the computer to control your turbo. Choose a specific training programme to follow and the turbo will change resistance to reflect life-like conditions.

These features along with a long 15-hour battery life optimised high res colour display and a large range of data points make the Garmin Edge 520 the all-purpose cycle computer.

    Garmin 520

This was my first Garmin and it works great. The setup is straight forward, remember to fit to the bike and pair sensors whilst setting it up as menus for sensors that aren't present also won't be present on the head unit! You can have custom detail on your main page and you also have separate menus for Race, training and indoor all showing your preferred data. I personally think the buttons are better than a touchscreen which is a bit fiddly to use in anger. Comes with an out front mount and three mini twist mounts and loads of fittings. Log into Garmin connect and Strava on your phone, in Strava click on your profile, go to settings, link other services, tick Garmin connect and hey presto your rides on your head unit will upload by themselves to both Garmin connect and also Strava without any hassle "just remember to turn your bluetooth on on your phone".......... five stars*****

    Garmin 520

The Garmin 520 is the first proper gps cycle computer I have bought. I chose this one for two main reasons, firstly Garmin's reputation for making excellent products and secondly the ability to run live strava segments. After a week of getting used to it, I am very happy with the way it works. The heart rate sensor and cadence sensor add extra data for improving the ride. Riding with live Strava is great, chasing pbs and koms is now visual on the device which is great encouragement.
