Product Description

Efficiency meets confidence. The Giant Fathom 2 is a hardtail mountain bike with trail friendly geometry for confident descending and efficient climbing on technical MTB trails.

The lightweight ALLUXX SL-Grade frame features a more relaxed geometry, with a slack 67-degree head angle. Combined with a longer travel suspension fork this offers more stability on fast, technical sections so you can attack the trail with confidence. Of course you still get the climbing efficiency you expect from a hardtail MTB. The tapered head tube offers increased front end stiffness while the internal cable routing keeps the lines nice and clean. 27.5” wheels give you the ideal balance between rapid rolling performance and nimble handling.

Up front the Suntour Raidon fork offers 120mm of plush suspension travel with adjustable rebound damping to dial in the performance and a lockout for more efficiency on smoother climbs. The Shimano 2x9 speed drivetrain offers reliable shifting with a wide range of gears for taking on all the climbs on trail centre loops. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes offer powerful all-weather speed control.

The dropper post, with remote lever, allows you to make the most of every trail section without compromising on fun or efficiency. Wider handlebars offer increased control while the Maxxis Ardent tyres offer rapid rolling confidence.

Have more fun on the trail with the Giant Fathom 2.

Exellent bike for price!!

3rd giant bike ive purchased last being an xtc 1, extemely good ride position for modern xc trails i had no problems on some of the black routes either, exellent spec , frame is exellent as is the fork. For the price it is easily as good as hardtails double the price, only difference ive seen is the alivio shifters which are entry level which is an easy upgrade for future, and most more expensive bikes have rs forks or fox etc but for the price this suntour fork is outstanding, tyres grip very well (not tried in wet yet) would highly recomend this bike over other bikes of similar price.
