Product Description

Designed to slide through the air with minimal drag the Giant Propel Advanced 2 is an aero road bike that is ready to race.

The Advanced-Grade carbon composite frame is constructed using a modified monocoque technique which keeps the weight down - one of the lightest frame in its class - whilst keeping things stiff and strong. The frame is shaped using AeroSystem Technology which reduces drag helping you to slide through the air faster. Built for real world racing the down tube is even shaped to aid airflow around water bottles while the Speed Control brake and cable positions are also aero optimised.

The OverDrive steerer tubes and carbon fork deliver precise steering while the PowerCore bottom bracket area ensures that power transfer is immediate even when you really put the hammer down.

The Shimano 105 2x11 speed drivetrain offers reliable gear shifting and features a compact chainset so you can take on all the hills on the road.

Accelerate and sprint even faster on the Giant Propel Advanced 2

stiff race machine

Fantastic bike for the money, the 105 groupset really is not slouch. I was impress by the power of the brakes and how well they modulate, even with deep carbon rims and carbon specific pads there's plenty of power. The propel wants to be ridden fast and that's what it does best, the faster you go the more you feel the aerodynamic advantage of the frame. It is a stiff ride so you'll feel it in long rides over 2/3 hours but putting fatter tyres and thicker handlebar tape will help comfort. Nice new 2017 colours. It's also quite light especially for a aero bike. All in all, I highly recommend this bike.
