The Giant STP 24 is built for young riders who want a mountain bike that feels capable and fun on dirt trails, pump tracks and local riding spots. Designed for riders roughly 125–145cm tall, it combines youth-specific sizing with trail-ready components to help build confidence and skills.
The frame is made from Giant’s ALUXX-grade aluminium, keeping the bike strong while maintaining a manageable weight for younger riders. A low stand-over height improves balance and stability, while the shorter wheelbase gives the bike a playful feel that’s easier to manoeuvre when learning new techniques.
Up front, a Crest TR Comp suspension fork provides 100mm of travel. The fork is tuned specifically for lighter riders, helping smooth bumps and maintain control on rougher trails. This allows young riders to stay comfortable while focusing on their riding technique.
The drivetrain uses a MicroSHIFT Advent 1x9 setup with an 11–38 cassette and a 30T chainring. This simple gear system keeps shifting straightforward while still offering a useful range for climbing and riding varied terrain. Shorter 140mm cranks are sized to suit younger riders and help maintain a comfortable pedalling position.
Hydraulic disc brakes from Tektro provide strong, reliable stopping power with lighter lever action, making it easier for smaller hands to control braking. The bike rolls on 24-inch alloy wheels fitted with Kenda Amrak 2.2-inch tyres, giving plenty of grip and cushioning on dirt trails.
One standout feature is the Contact Switch AT Lite dropper seatpost with 70–100mm of travel. This allows young riders to lower the saddle for descents and technical sections, helping them move around the bike more easily and build confidence on the trail.
With youth-specific components, durable construction and trail-ready features, the Giant STP 24 is a junior mountain bike designed to help young riders progress and enjoy every ride off-road.
