Product Description

Lightweight, fast and efficient with all-weather speed control. The Giant TCR Advanced 1 Disc is a road bike that is built around a lightweight carbon frame. Featuring dialled road race geometry the TCR offers nimble handling in real world cycling conditions. The Giant Conduct SL brake system offers proper hydraulic disc performance but keeps the regular Shimano brake levers.

Key Features:

  • Advanced grade carbon fibre composite frame and fork
  • Shimano Ultegra 2x11 speed drivetrain provides precise shifting
  • Giant Conduct SL hydraulic disc brakes for consistent all-weather stopping
  • Giant tubeless system provides less rolling resistance
  • Road race geometry for maximum efficiency in real world conditions
  • Sizes: Small, Medium, Medium Large, Large, X Large
  • Colours: Charcoal/Pure Red/Black
  • The Giant TCR Advanced 1 Disc is available with 0% APR finance

Training, racing, pushing it to the limit. Whether you’re attacking the field or digging deep for a new PR, the lightweight and efficient TCR Advanced Disc with integrated disc brake technology deliver total performance on the road.

Pro-level race efficiency: With the highest pedalling stiffness-to-weight ratio of any bike in its class, this frameset is engineered to give Giant pro road racers superior climbing efficiency and sprint stiffness to compete in any terrain.

Total control: Integrated disc brakes deliver smooth, powerful stopping power and modulation for added control in variable weather and road conditions. Flat mounts and thru-axles boost stiffness and improve overall handling.

Speed and compliance: The Variant composite seatpost and Giant WheelSystem with tubeless tyres combine for a smooth ride and low rolling resistance.

Advanced Composite Technology

High-performance grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and moulded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.

Compact Road Design

Introduced by Giant with the professional Team ONCE in the 1990s, Compact Road revolutionised the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping top tube (from the head tube to the seat tube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit.

OverDrive

Giant’s original oversized fork steerer tube technology. Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/4” lower and 1 1/8” upper for road, 1 1/2” lower and 1 1/8” upper for mountain) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.

Variant Seatpost

This proprietary seatpost design offers an optimised balance of lightweight, superior ride quality and simple adjustment to enhance the total race performance of the TCR road range.

Giant Tubeless System

Integrated Tubeless WheelSystem and tyres delivers improved efficiency, comfort and control in the most user-friendly and reliable system.

An absolute bargain of a bike !
by Anonymous user on 02/01/2020

Once our cycle 2 work scheme was open, I dived in to buy this bike. Carbon frame, Ultegra, Disc brakes... it's amazing value. I took the bike for a spin around the Yorkshire Dales, big climbs with big descents. The bike handled beautifully, the 12x30 cassette made the climbs easier and the hard, technical descents were very comfortable with the modulating disc brakes. I've ridden this route with rim brakes and this was the first time I felt really comfortable on the 20% twisting drops. The bike eats up the road, it's very comfortable on the flat. I'd say the wheels are a little bit heavy but it's a very minor grumble. Overall this bike is an absolute bargain, it has already become my goto bike for my hilly training rides.

Stiff, fast and responsive
by Anonymous user on 24/09/2019

I'd had my eye on a TCR advanced disc for a couple of years having been an early convert to road disc brakes since purchasing my synapse a nearly 5 years ago. The tcr seemed a natural upgrade from alloy to carbon, mechanical to hydro discs and from sportive to race geomtry. I'm 5,11 but went for a medium so the ride is snug but not overly agressive. The seat tube took a fair bit of tweaking until I was happy with the ride height, otherwise no complaints, giants standard hydro braking is a joy on twisting decents. Will be upgrading hoops next year which sould improve things further.
