At the heart of the bike is Bosch’s latest Performance Line CX motor, delivering a punchy 85Nm of torque to flatten steep climbs and power through headwinds with ease. It’s paired with a huge Bosch PowerTube battery, giving you the range and confidence to keep exploring without constantly checking the battery level. From daily commutes to all-day adventures, this bike has the stamina to match your plans. 

The Low step frame design makes hopping on and off effortless, while still feeling stiff, stable and confidence inspiring on rough terrain. Haibike has borrowed heavily from their off-road ALLTRAIL range, so you’re getting proper MTB-inspired capability here. With 140mm front suspension and 130mm at the rear, the ADVENTR 8.5 smooths out potholes, rocky tracks and broken back lanes without breaking a sweat. 

Spec-wise, it’s packed with quality kit designed for reliability and comfort. Shimano’s CUES 11-speed drivetrain gives you smooth shifting and durability for high-mileage riding, while powerful 4-piston Tektro hydraulic disc brakes provide loads of stopping power whatever the weather decides to do. Chunky 27.5” tyres add grip and stability across mixed terrain, making this a seriously versatile all-rounder. 

Practical touches are built in too. Full mudguards, integrated lights and a sturdy rear rack mean the ADVENTR 8.5 Low is fully equipped for commuting, shopping trips or bikepacking adventures straight out of the box. It’s a proper SUV e-bike — comfortable, capable and ready for just about anything. 

Bosch Performance Update 2.0

Bosch have dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors, and it’s a big one for riders who want more punch on the trails. The update is available for the latest generation motors with the codes BDU384Y and BDU386Y, and it can be installed straight from the Bosch eBike Flow app. Nice and easy.

Once you’ve downloaded Performance Update 2.0, you can crank the motor up to a huge 120 Nm of torque, with up to 600% support and 750 watts of peak power. Bosch have also tweaked things so the motor can hold that power for longer when the riding conditions allow.

The 600% support figure only kicks in between 0 and 15 km/h, so it’s all about helping you power up steep climbs and tricky sections. The maximum assisted speed stays the same at 25 km/h.

As with previous Bosch updates, you can still customise the motor settings in the app to suit your riding style. Whether you want maximum power for steep tech climbs or a more natural feel on longer rides, you can dial it in how you like it.

Performance Update 2.0 is available for all CX Gen 5 and CX-R Gen 5 motors. It also brings Extended Boost (Bosch Overrun) and support for the new drivetrain tensioner system, which helps reduce lag when you get back on the pedals. Bosch are also adding more features and connectivity options, including Garmin integration and new power supply options.
