Product Description

Chaos Rim - 27.5"

The Chaos is part of Halo's new generation of clean welded joint rims.

Sam Pilgrim chooses the 26" versions and they helped propel him to becoming the 2013 FMB World Tour Series Champion.

They are also great Downhill Race or Enduro rims as well as being equally at home on Trail Centres for those riders looking for strength and performance.

  • This rim, like Sam, will always cause some Chaos.
  • A lightweight rim with a full blown heavyweight punch.
  • Light enough to win dirt comps at the highest international levels, but yet tough enough to handle full-on DH or Enduro courses.

Recommended Spoke Tension:

  • Front and Rear: 100 to 135Kgs

Wheels Guide

What are wheels?

Wheels are probably the second most important part of your bike, after the frame. A lot of the bike’s riding characteristics come from its wheels.

Who needs wheels?

A wheel upgrade can make a massive difference to your bike. Because of this, you might consider a new set of wheels, even if the old ones aren’t worn or damaged.

What are the choices?

Mountain bikers choose their wheels in 26in, 27.5in or 29in size, depending on what their frame is built for. Road bike wheels are 700c. Beyond this, there’s a dizzying array of rim material and depth, spoke type and hubs galore – enough to make your head spin faster than your wheels.

What should I buy with them?

A wheel upgrade always deserves a lovely new set of tyres. These too have a massive impact on how your bike rides.

Anything else?

There are several approaches to buying wheels – you can buy a full wheelset, for perfect pairing, or you can take a modular approach, picking hubs and rims before having a new set built to your specification.
