The Lapierre Zesty CF 7.9 is an all-mountain bike designed for riders who want to cover plenty of ground without sacrificing capability when the trail points downhill. Its carbon frame, 150mm Fox fork and Float X rear shock create a versatile setup for climbing to the top, exploring technical trails and enjoying longer days in the mountains.
Up front, the Fox 36 Float Factory fork provides 150mm of travel, giving the Zesty plenty of support for rough trails while keeping the bike suitable for all-round riding. Its three-position adjustment lets you alter the suspension behaviour to suit different terrain, from longer climbs to more demanding descents.
A Fox Float X Factory rear shock uses a trunnion mount and two-position adjustment. Paired with the Zesty's full-suspension frame, it helps the rear wheel maintain traction across roots, rocks and uneven ground while providing support when the trail becomes faster or rougher.
Shimano Deore provides a 1x12-speed drivetrain with wireless electronic shifting. The RD-M6250 Shadow ES rear derailleur is controlled by the wireless SW-M6250-IR shifter, removing the need for a shift cable between the handlebar and derailleur. A wide-range Deore CS-M6100 12-speed cassette provides useful gearing for steep climbs as well as faster trail sections.
The drivetrain is completed by a Shimano Deore FC-M6120 two-piece crankset and CN-M6100 12-speed chain. The single-chainring setup keeps gear selection straightforward and leaves the cockpit uncluttered.
Shimano Deore M6120 hydraulic disc brakes use four-piston callipers for controlled braking on steeper and more technical terrain. A 203mm front rotor provides additional braking power where it's needed most, while the rear uses a 180mm rotor.
The Zesty rolls on 29-inch XLC WR-M39 wheels with 30mm-wide rims. The larger wheel size helps maintain momentum and roll smoothly over roots and rocks, complementing the bike's all-mountain focus.
Continental Kryptotal Trail Soft tyres provide an aggressive tread and softer compound designed to prioritise grip on demanding trail surfaces. Both tyres are listed as 60-622, giving a width of around 2.4 inches. The supplied specification lists the front-specific Kryptotal-F tyre at both ends.
A JD dropper post provides 125mm of travel, letting you lower the saddle for descents and technical sections before returning it to full height for pedalling. A Prologo Proxim W450 saddle completes the setup.
The cockpit combines a short 45mm Lapierre Thirty One alloy stem with an XLC handlebar featuring 20mm of rise and 9 degrees of backsweep. This puts the rider in a controlled position suited to tackling varied trail terrain.
The Zesty CF 7.9 is designed around versatility rather than specialising solely in climbing or descending. Its carbon chassis, Fox Factory suspension, wireless Shimano drivetrain and four-piston brakes make it well suited to riders who enjoy exploring varied terrain, from long mountain rides to technical woodland trails and rougher descents.
Please note: The frame is covered by a 2-year warranty only. Component parts are subject to availability, and in some cases, components may be substituted with equivalent parts. Please refer to our warranty guide for further guidance.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimetres for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but are like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the Mountain bike column.
Read our bike size guide for more information on sizing.
