At its core is a Series 2 6061 aluminium frame, featuring internal cable routing for a clean, modern look. The Shimano 2x8-speed drivetrain offers a wide range of gearing for hill climbs and fast flats alike, with a Shimano Acera rear derailleur and SunRace 11–34T cassette delivering smooth, reliable shifting. Paired with a 46/30T chainset, this setup is ideal for varied terrain.
Braking comes from Tektro M275 hydraulic disc brakes, giving you dependable stopping power in wet or dry conditions perfect for year-round riding in the UK. The 700C double-wall rims are fitted with 35mm Vee Zilent tyres, which feature built-in puncture protection and a tread pattern designed for speed and grip on tarmac and light paths.
The contact points are finished with Marin’s Fitness Plush saddle, alloy cockpit components and a 27.2mm alloy seatpost to smooth out road chatter. With its balance of performance and practicality, the Fairfax 2 is an excellent option for riders who want a versatile hybrid without stretching the budget.
