The Ksyrium Elite road wheel has been a benchmark for reliability, light weight and versatility for more than a decade. This updated version makes it easier than ever to experience the benefits of riding tubeless. Integrated with our Yksion Pro UST Tubeless tires, the system makes installation, removal and maintenance simple and hassle-free. Eliminating the tube reduces friction in the system, which means less rolling resistance and higher speeds. You can also lower your tire pressure, which gives you a smoother, more comfortable ride plus added control on rough roads. You’ll also enjoy a reduced risk of punctures, so you can ride with confidence and push yourself farther. The rims are engineered with our patented Fore Drilling to form a stronger connection between the spokes and the rim. Isopulse lacing improves stability and boosts lateral stiffness while sprinting or climbing. Our exclusive patented ISM 4D process strategically removes excess material from the rim while maintaining it around the spokes, where tension is applied. The wheel is available in three colour options: grey on black; black with red highlights; and black with yellow highlights.

Lightweight and durable, Ksyrium delivers everyday performance no matter the weather. Wider lightweight rims for a smooth ride quality.

ISM machined, welded rims 17mm internal rim width for low rolling resistance and extra comfort with 25mm tires Lightweight Yksion Elite tires. Engineered stiffness for sharp handling and acceleration.

Care
by Martin G on 13/03/2019

Didn't realise until it was used that this was older generation wheel with narrow rim width and tyre very difficult to remove! Yet Mavic publicity was saying it was easy, yes, on the current wheel. The tyre is soft and grippy but not very puncture proof so will cut up very readily. The freehub is not as free running and seems to have a bit of resistance. Service from Tredz is very good but I think it should be made clear when you are buying a product that has been superseded.

Excellent Wheelset Upgrade
by Simon T on 13/08/2018

I've never upgraded my wheelset before so wasn't sure what to expect but so far I've been really impressed with the Mavic Kysirium Elites. They're around 400g lighter than my previous wheels (Vision Team 30) and I can really tell the difference when accelerating and out of the saddle up the hills. I've only done 3 rides so far but I've been really impressed. The tubeless tyres also seem to be a little more forgiving (due to only needing 80psi rather than my usual 100psi) and roll really smoothly. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase so far and can't wait to get out on more rides.

Ksyrium UST Wheelset
by Anonymous user on 10/07/2018

Usual Mavic quality. I have opted to stay with tubes so fitted some Conti Gatorskins and they went on OK if a little tighter than with the older Ksyriums (non UST). Few pings on first ride, but they are still true and feel good on the road. All good so far.

Ksyrium ust

Just taken delivery of wheel, incidentally Tredz used DX to transport, very efficient, no damage to box. Wheel as yet untried but looks like a quality item. Comes with Mavic tyre fitted and all you need to run tubeless, valve core removal tool, tyre levers, bottle of sealant, injector and finally quick release. The tyre appears ‘grippy’ to the touch so looks promising. However Mavic do make a big point (see YouTube) of how easy it is to fit the tyre by hand, unlike most other tubeless tyres. Sadly this didn't match up, as you have to use levers fitting as well as removing the tyre and it’s a very tight fit. I usually have no trouble fitting tubed tyres by hand. However, they easily inflate using an ordinary track pump without needing a special pump with an 'air blast'. Without sealant pressure drops dramatically within 24hrs. I don’t want to put the sealant in until nearer the time I’m ready to use the wheel, so I’m assuming the sealant will sort this out. I will try and update performance when used.
