Merida One-Forty 400 Mountain Bike 2026 - Trail Full Suspension MTB

- Mixed wheel setup with Maxxis trail tyres
- Long-travel dropper post fitted as standard
- Available with 0% APR finance
The Merida One-Forty 400 is built to deliver confident trail performance without unnecessary complexity. Its Lite aluminium frame uses Merida’s latest trail geometry, giving you a centred riding position that climbs efficiently and feels composed when the trail points downhill. The long seat tube insertion depth allows for long-travel droppers, helping you move freely on technical descents.
Up front, the Marzocchi Z2 air fork offers 150mm of travel with a supportive, controlled feel. It’s designed to deal with repeated hits and rough trail sections while staying predictable when you’re pushing through turns or loading the front end. At the rear, a Marzocchi Bomber Inline shock provides 140mm of travel, balancing traction and support so the bike stays calm under power and controlled when the terrain gets rough.
The One-Forty’s geometry is shared with higher-end models in the range, so you get the same stable handling and confidence, just paired with dependable, no-nonsense components. A flip chip lets you fine-tune the setup for either a full 29er or mullet configuration, giving you flexibility as your riding develops.
Shimano’s CUES U6000 11-speed drivetrain uses Linkglide technology for smooth, durable shifting. The wide-range 10–50T cassette gives you the gears needed for steep climbs without spinning out on faster trail sections. It’s a setup that’s built to last and easy to live with.
Stopping power comes from SRAM DB4 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes with large 200mm rotors front and rear. They deliver consistent braking and good control on long descents, helping reduce hand fatigue on bigger trail days.
The wheelset is tubeless ready and paired with proven Maxxis tyres, offering dependable grip up front and faster rolling at the rear. Combined with wide bars, a short stem and a long-travel dropper post, the One-Forty 400 encourages an active riding style without feeling demanding.
Overall, the Merida One-Forty 400 is a well-balanced trail bike that rewards time on real trails. It’s built for riders who want modern handling, reliable suspension and practical kit that supports progression without overstating what the bike is designed to do.
