The Merida Reacto 10K sits at the performance-focused end of the Reacto range, combining an aerodynamic frame with a lightweight build and high-level components. At a claimed 7.2kg for the complete bike, it's designed to deliver the speed expected from an aero road bike without carrying unnecessary weight when the road heads uphill.
The Reacto CF5 V frame uses carbon construction and aerodynamic tube profiles developed to reduce drag while maintaining predictable handling in changing wind conditions. Merida states that this generation has been optimised for both headwinds and crosswinds, helping the bike remain efficient without compromising stability on exposed roads.
Aerodynamic development is a major part of the Reacto design. Merida's wind tunnel testing records 202 watts required to maintain 45km/h for the Reacto 10K configuration. While laboratory figures won't directly translate to every real-world ride, they demonstrate the focus placed on reducing aerodynamic drag across the complete bike rather than simply shaping individual frame tubes.
The matching Reacto CF5 V Disc carbon fork continues the aerodynamic approach at the front of the bike. Fully integrated cable routing through the FSA ACR headset and Merida Team CW Aero carbon cockpit creates a clean front end while reducing exposed cables that can disturb airflow.
Despite its aero focus, the Reacto is designed to provide useful comfort for longer rides. Clearance for tyres up to 32mm gives you the option to increase tyre volume and reduce pressure for additional cushioning and grip. Merida's carbon S-Flex seatpost is also designed with controlled compliance to help reduce vibration reaching the rider.
SRAM Red AXS provides wireless 2x12-speed electronic shifting. A 50/37T Red chainset is paired with a wide-range 10-36T XG-1290 cassette, giving you high gearing for fast riding while retaining useful lower ratios for steeper climbs. Wireless shifting also contributes to the Reacto's clean, integrated cockpit.
The SRAM Red chainset includes a power meter, allowing you to measure your effort directly from the bike. For riders training with power, this provides useful data for pacing, structured sessions and tracking performance without requiring an aftermarket upgrade.
SRAM Red hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled braking in changing conditions, with Red AXS HRD controls integrating braking and electronic shifting into the cockpit.
Reynolds BL60 Pro carbon wheels complement the frame's aerodynamic focus. Their 60mm-deep carbon rims are designed for fast road riding, while the 21mm internal width provides a suitable platform for modern road tyres. The wheels are also tubeless ready, with tape and valves included.
Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR 700x28c tyres complete the wheel setup. They're tubeless ready and combine low rolling resistance with the grip and puncture protection needed for performance road riding. Going tubeless also provides the option to use lower pressures for additional comfort and grip.
A Prologo Nago R4 PAS saddle with Nack rails, carbon S-Flex seatpost and full carbon Merida Team CW Aero cockpit continue the lightweight, race-focused specification.
The Reacto 10K brings together aero development, low weight and practical features such as 32mm tyre clearance. With SRAM Red AXS, integrated power measurement and deep-section Reynolds carbon wheels, it's particularly well suited to racing and fast road riding where aerodynamic efficiency matters, without making the bike overly specialised for flat terrain alone.
