Merida Reacto 4000 2015 - Road Bike

The Merida Reacto 4000 is a race/Tri ready aero road bike with a brilliant carbon frame and packed with engineering technology.  Whether you're an experience racer or enthusiast looking to get your first taste of real road speed - the 4000 is a great option, it's light, responsive and aero.

The carbon frame features some unique design elements that combine to give this road bike such performance. Firstly, the tubes are designed with that classic teardrop aero shape, but with the point chopped off.  This doesn't impact on the aerodynamics of the frame and helps make it lighter for quick acceleration.

Bio Fiber flax is woven into the carbon fibre at specific areas on the frame too such as the seat stays.  Why? Because it has natural vibration damping properties helping you stay fresh for longer - ready for the next stage in a triathlon.

In fact, a lot of the Reacto 4000 has focused on improving comfort whilst riding.  Aero bikes do need to be very stiff, but features such as the S-Flex carbon seat post and full carbon fork help to minimise the constant buzz effect of road riding.

Front end stiffness comes from the full carbon fork with tapered steerer tube.  The combination of both these features makes for precision turning, great stiffness and reduced weight. Internal cable routing also keeps the lines clean.

Shimano 105 shifters and derailleurs provide race ready performance which you can rely on.  Direct mount brakes on the front and rear also help to add an extra aero edge along with the 38mm deep section Super Aero rims.

Put all this together and the Reacto 4000 is ready to take on any race or Tri.  The high quality frame matched with excellent spec make this an attractive option for those who're a little more serious about their riding.
