The Crafty Carbon S sits at the heart of Mondraker’s full-power e-MTB range, built for riders who want a stable, capable bike for tackling demanding trails and long days in the hills. Its Stealth Air Carbon frame uses a lightweight carbon front triangle paired with a durable alloy rear end. The design incorporates Mondraker’s Forward Geometry, which places the rider centrally between the wheels for confident support on steep descents, while maintaining traction and balance on climbs.
The latest Zero Suspension System delivers 150mm of controlled rear travel, designed to offer sensitivity over small bumps while remaining supportive deeper in the stroke. A flip chip at the shock mount lets you fine-tune the geometry, and the bike uses size-specific swingarm lengths—455mm on S, M and ML frames, and 465mm on L and XL—to help maintain balanced handling for all riders. The one-piece Monoblock upper link improves stiffness across the suspension assembly, contributing to accurate tracking through technical terrain.
Up front, the RockShox ZEB Base Rush RC fork brings 160mm of travel with a stiff chassis suited to full-power e-MTB loads. At the rear, the Fox Float-X LV Performance shock offers adjustable rebound and compression, helping you dial in the feel for your terrain and riding style.
SRAM’s 70 Eagle T-Type 12-speed drivetrain is built for e-MTB torque, offering smooth, consistent shifts under load. Paired with a 10-52 cassette and E*Spec chainset, it gives plenty of range for steep climbs and high-speed sections. SRAM DB8 hydraulic brakes with 200mm rotors provide dependable stopping power, using four-piston calipers crafted for consistent performance in demanding terrain.
The bike rolls on WTB Sportterra Tough wheels with 30mm internal width rims to support the 29x2.5 Maxxis tyres. A Maxxis Assegai front tyre with 3C MaxxGrip compound boosts cornering traction, while a Minion DHR II rear in MaxxTerra rubber offers braking bite and stability. Both are tubeless ready for reduced pressures and added control.
Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, part of Bosch’s Smart System, offering strong and natural-feeling assistance. The 800Wh PowerTube battery supports long mountain days, and the Kiox 400 display sits neatly integrated into the top tube. The Mini Remote keeps control inputs simple and intuitive.
Well-balanced, capable and thoughtfully equipped, the Mondraker Crafty Carbon S brings together advanced suspension, robust components and powerful electric assistance for riders looking to explore technical enduro terrain with confidence.
Bosch Performance Update 2.0
Bosch have dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors, and it’s a big one for riders who want more punch on the trails. The update is available for the latest generation motors with the codes BDU384Y and BDU386Y, and it can be installed straight from the Bosch eBike Flow app. Nice and easy.
Once you’ve downloaded Performance Update 2.0, you can crank the motor up to a huge 120 Nm of torque, with up to 600% support and 750 watts of peak power. Bosch have also tweaked things so the motor can hold that power for longer when the riding conditions allow.
The 600% support figure only kicks in between 0 and 15 km/h, so it’s all about helping you power up steep climbs and tricky sections. The maximum assisted speed stays the same at 25 km/h.
As with previous Bosch updates, you can still customise the motor settings in the app to suit your riding style. Whether you want maximum power for steep tech climbs or a more natural feel on longer rides, you can dial it in how you like it.
Performance Update 2.0 is available for all CX Gen 5 and CX-R Gen 5 motors. It also brings Extended Boost (Bosch Overrun) and support for the new drivetrain tensioner system, which helps reduce lag when you get back on the pedals. Bosch are also adding more features and connectivity options, including Garmin integration and new power supply options.
One thing worth keeping in mind — more power means more stress on drivetrain components, so increased wear is expected over time. If you’re unsure about compatibility, servicing or upgrading components, get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help.
