The Orbea Laufey H30 is a hardtail that’s built around one simple idea: making trail riding as enjoyable as possible. Whether it’s your first mountain bike or another addition to the garage, it’s designed to encourage you to ride more trails and try new lines.
The frame is constructed from hydroformed, triple-butted aluminium, adding strength where it’s needed while saving weight elsewhere. This careful shaping helps tune the ride feel, giving the frame a touch of compliance that improves comfort and traction over rough ground. Modern trail geometry keeps the bike stable when speeds pick up while remaining agile through tighter sections.
Up front, a RockShox Recon RL fork provides 140mm of travel with a Solo Air spring, helping smooth out rough terrain and maintain front-end control on technical trails. Combined with the slack head angle and long reach, it gives the bike the confident handling expected from a modern trail hardtail.
The drivetrain uses Shimano’s Deore M6100 12-speed system, pairing a 32T chainring with an 11–51T cassette. This wide range makes steep climbs manageable while still offering plenty of speed on flowing trails. Shimano MT201 hydraulic disc brakes provide dependable stopping power and easy control when descending.
29in tubeless-ready wheels help the bike roll smoothly over rocks and roots while maintaining good traction. The frame is shaped to accommodate high-volume tyres up to 2.6in, adding grip and comfort when the trail gets rough.
A factory-fitted OC Mountain Control dropper post allows you to quickly lower the saddle on descents for better control and confidence. Orbea’s Lockr storage system inside the downtube offers space for tools and essentials, keeping them secure and out of the way.
Protective details such as a downtube vinyl protector and rubber chainstay bumper help the frame shrug off trail impacts and reduce noise. Internal cable routing keeps the bike looking clean and prevents cable rub.
With its balanced geometry, dependable components and thoughtful details, the Orbea Laufey H30 is a hardtail designed to make everyday trail riding simple, capable and fun.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimetres for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but are like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the Mountain bike column.
Read our bike size guide for more information on sizing.
