Product Description

This seatpost is the go to budget conversion part to allow a change in body position on the bike to suit time trailing or triathlon riding efforts

  • The saddle is pushed further forward, moving the centre over the bottom bracket in the same way as a steeper seat tube angle on a specific TT bike

  • A more powerful aerodynamic position can be achieved

  • Traditional 73 degree seat tube angles are increased to 78 degrees with a physical move forward of up to 38 mm

  • Full aluminium construction is shot peened for and sculpted to deliver aerodynamic benefits

  • 27.2 mm or 31.6 mm diameter

  • 300 mm long

  • Weight from 310 grams

Fast Forward Seatpost

Expensive for what it it does but the only way to solve the problem of getting the bike to fit me correctly. A++ for that. 4cm further forward than the standard seatpost fit.

Goods OK Service wanting

I ordered this at the end of a week - Friday? The website said 5 to 7 days delivery. They did not have it in stock but it was sent off in the post on the Wed evening. I got it the NEXT TUES after that because they posted it second class and at the same time said it would arrive Friday! On the form it did say allow 5 days (extra) for POSTAGE time but what was said was not that. Lesson? They should offer RMSD / first class or second as an option at the purchase stage

Great piece of kit

bought this for my turbo bike (an oldish 52cm frame) when the pains in my quads made me realise my position was way out compared to my roadbike. This moves you forward - and is really easy to adjust. Very impressed with the quality

Certainly helps!

I've put this post on my Cervelo R5 to help get me forwards and into a more comfortable Aero position. Does what it says on the tin really. now i just need to get used to the position.

Good product with some niggles

Well one niggle. Getting your saddle in place once you've worked out the bolts and clamps is a pain. I benefited just, by having a selle saddle with central cut out otherwise I don't know how I would have managed to install the saddle. The stem certainly performs well enough bringing the seat position forward enough to improve your position without shifting your weight too far off the back wheel

Does the job perfectly

Wanted to covert my road bike to a tt bike save spending thousands on a bike only to find out I didn't like it. This does exactly what i needed. good quality and looks quite good in my opinion too. I had the 27.2mm size but it came with a collar to fit 31mm too. (didn't see that in the description) good communication and delivery from tredz. Happy customer

Seatposts Guide

What are seatposts?

The seatpost is the extendable metal rod that slots into your bike’s frame, with a clamp at the top to hold your saddle.

Who needs a seatpost?

Every bike has a seatpost, but a common reason for fitting a new one is to get a longer post for a leggy rider. Weight saving is another prime reason for upgrading.

What are the choices?

You need to pick the right seatpost width for your frame, but then you will have a choice of materials, from practical aluminium to weight-saving carbon. Mountain bikers can also opt for dropper posts, which are tremendously useful out on the trails.

What should I buy with them?

You might need a different seatpost clamp to go with your new seatpost and hold it firm in your frame.

Anything else?

Finding out which seatpost width you need can be a tricky business. With luck it will be stamped on the inside of your bike’s seat tube. It is measured down to tenths of millimetres, so eyeballing it with the tape measure won’t work.
