Upgraded from 34t to 36t
by Anonymous user on 04/11/2019

Quite expensive for aluminium but I suppose you pay for the tech that goes into it. Not much to say, it's Race Face so it's quality. I run a 2x11 setup and the bike came with 24t&34t but I found I was running out of gears at higher speeds. The 36t is a good compromise up from the 34t it gives me 1.5ish extra gears to help me push past 35mph when I need to. It says to only run it with a 26t but I've not had any issues with 24t/36t. It changes smoothly both ways. I think a 24t/38t would be too much of a jump tbh, because I only have to flick down 2 gears on the rear mech when changing down to the 24t ring approaching a climb. Whereas before I only had to switch down 1 gear. As long as I remember to do that, it's the only downside I can see from running a 24t/36t setup. 👍 🙂
