The Santa Cruz Vala Carbon C R isn’t just another e-MTB – it’s Santa Cruz performance with Bosch’s class-leading drive system. The Carbon C frame uses the proven VPP (Virtual Pivot Point) suspension platform, delivering 150mm of rear travel that balances pedalling efficiency with big-hit control. Stiffness is prioritised with a one-piece bridged link and reinforced seatstay bridge, keeping the chassis precise and protecting the shock from unwanted side loads.

At the front, a RockShox Zeb Base 160mm fork pairs with a FOX Float X Performance rear shock, giving the Vala XR the suspension muscle to take on rough descents and technical terrain. Meanwhile, SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed shifting provides a wide gear range for both climbs and descents, while SRAM DB8 Stealth 4-piston brakes with 220mm rotors supply consistent stopping power.

The bike rolls on a mullet setup: a 29” wheel up front for rollover confidence and a 27.5” rear for agility, both built on tough Reserve 30|HD AL rims. Schwalbe Magic Mary tyres in ultra-soft and soft compounds ensure maximum grip on loose and steep ground. An SDG Tellis dropper post allows quick saddle height changes on the move, keeping control at your fingertips.

Driving it all is the Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 85Nm torque, delivering smooth yet powerful assistance. The 600Wh PowerTube battery balances weight and capacity for long trail rides, with the option of extending range using Bosch’s range extender. A discreet Bosch top tube display with wireless remote gives easy control without cluttering the cockpit.
