Product Description

The iconic, progressive and popular Tacx NEO 2 Smart turbo trainer is optimized into an even quieter and more powerful Smart direct drive. The motor is redesigned in order to provide a better indoor cycling experience and ride feel, especially during climbs and sprints. The NEO 2T Smart is more silent than you ever thought possible and without question is the most powerful, realistic and accurate bike trainer to date.

Perfect for serious fun and boosting your bike fitness, the Tacx Neo 2T is compatible with both quick release and thru axles. 8 -12 speed Shimano compatible cassettes are accommodated as standard, SRAM XD and XD-R cassettes are compatible with an adaptor (not supplied).

Improved Ride Feel:
More motor power resulted in a better ride feel during climbs and sprints.

Improved Axle Compatibility:
Directly compatible with 135×10, 142×12 and 148×12 mm axles.

Complete Stillness:
Significant reduction of noise from air displacements or vibrations. By redesigning the magnets, we significantly improved the stillness of the NEO 2T. The noise coming from internal air displacements is reduced as well as vibrations noticed at a low cadence, that were being transferred to the floor. Resulting in a more silent Smart trainer then ever thought possible.

Powerful Climbs and Sprints:
The new motor design of the NEO 2T also improves the ride feel during a climb or acceleration. We were able to give the motor of the NEO 2T more power, resulting in the ability to generate higher resistance levels under specific conditions, like in a sprint or at low speeds.

Road Feel:
Experience the vibrating sensation of riding on cobblestones, gravel an many other road surfaces. This immersive feature is unique to the NEO series and can be used in Tacx Films and Zwift.

Descent Simulation:
At the top of a hill or mountain, there is always that exciting feeling of accelerating into a descent. Exactly that feeling is what this bike trainer gives you. The NEO 2T Smart accelerates in a descent.

Pedal Stroke Analysis:
The NEO 2 was already equipped with a capacitive left and right detection sensor that accurately measures the exact position of both your legs. By adding standard ANT+ Cycling dynamics, you can now analyse your pedal stroke via the software of third parties; for example on a Garmin Edge bike computer.

Stable Yet Flexible:
The design of the NEO 2T Smart allows a few degrees of movement to the left and right while cycling. Its frame follows the natural course of your body, bringing you a certain freedom of movement that improves the cycling feeling.

Accurate:
The Tacx NEO 2T Smart measures your power with incredible precision, making sure that your data is accurate and reliable. This Smart trainers is the only trainers that doesn’t require calibration process. This Smart trainer measures your power accurately within 1%.

Smooth Ride Feel:
The NEO 2T Smart is very responsive and reacts instantly to speed or incline changes. It also features Dynamic inertia which it compensates for weight, speed and angle of inclination to ensure the most realistic and smooth ride feel possible.

Self Powered:
The NEO 2T Smart doesn’t require an external power source as it generates its own energy from your cycling movement. This direct drive trainer can easily be used anywhere you like. When connected to an external power source, the Descent simulation feature is enabled.

Impressed, but very expensive
by Anonymous user on 26/07/2020

Let's face it, for the cost of this, you can have a 2nd (or 3rd!) bike. It doesn't even come with a cassette. It's a quality piece of kit though and with the stone flywheel performs excellently as a trainer. Everything connected via ANT+ seamlessly to my PC (note you also need a USB ANT+ dongle if you're doing via a PC). I've bought this to train for a specific goal, when I struggle to get out in the bad weather. So far my 1 hour training sessions have been great, feels like a gym session and covered in sweat.

Top of the range
by Anonymous user on 23/06/2020

Quite simply put there is no better smart trainer out there currently. I've used a few smart trainers but always come back to Tacx and decided to take the plunge and go for this top end model. Really easy to setup and store and works perfectly with the two virtual training platforms I use regularly. It is expensive but in this case you do get what you pay for.

Vadars Fighter ship

very sceptical about going for the neo 2 due to the price but went for and imediatley impressed staight out of the box, with the quality of the plastic and fittings used, then the actual weight of the thing it is going no whear during a good hard sprint, so easy to set up with added bonus of nevr having to calibrate. the resistance is top drawer it comes in without you noticing it until your legs are screaming on Zwift. A lot of Buck for your Bang but worth it. the team at tredz superb to deal with even when they were having issue with their couriers.

Best your money can buy
by Anonymous user on 03/03/2020

I wanted to switch over from an 'on wheel' to a direct drive trainer and ultimately decided to drop the cash on what has been reviewed as the best turbo out there. The change has been huge. Not only does this feel like a solid, high quality product that is as close to riding outdoors as I can imagine...but it also has a range of smart features that feed into the likes of Zwift. The accuracy is spot on and I have just started some virtual training programs which are fun and varied. The turbo was easy to set up, I had to buy a cassette as it doesn't come with one. You can plug into the mains if you want to utilise the acceleration feature for descents or it can be powered by your pedalling which is a nice touch. It is an expensive piece of kit but I feel it's worth the investment if you're serious about indoor training. I have felt much stronger on the bike outdoors since buying this trainer so will thoroughly recommend.

Simply awesome
by Anonymous user on 09/02/2020

Firstly I never thought I would spend this much on a trainer. The direct drive is class. Out of the box it’s easy to set-up. Better to check for updates via the companion app. Once done it’s very simple to connect to Zwift. On using it’s very very quiet and only noise is when you are freewheeling. I can’t recommend enough and with the two year warranty gives me re-assurance and peace of mind. Great service from Tredz with updates when I placed the order and shipping details once despatched..

Tacx Neo 2T
by Thomas T on 24/11/2019

Tredz kept me updated regularly on the shipment date and my neo arrived 7 days earlier than they predicted which was great. The trainer works really well except for a noisy flywheel issue that I am dealing directly with Garmin about and is disappointing but not Tredz fault. Apparently its quite common and they are sending me a puller tool free of charge to hopefully address the problem so time will tell. Overall well built trainer and if you can justify the price tag go for it.
