Little helper

Strange though it my sound, but i used this little tool on my Mercedes valve cover. After fitting a new gasket I needed it to set the torque to 9 nm. And for a cheap torque wrench it filled the gap just right ...Get one for those smll jobs on the bike or the car. .

Decent for the price

This seems very reliable and well made for the price. Most torque wrenches are much more expensive. Seems very solid. Unsure how accurate torque values are but seems to be enough to get you in the ball park and avoid overtightening bolts.

Handy gadget!

Found this at a very reasonable price and am delighted with it. Too bulky to take on a ride but ideal at home for ensuring torque is correct. Just don't use them to loosen as it will mess up the calibration!!

Really handy for carbon frames

I don't know if this tool is really close to 100% accuracy, but it surely exceed the accuracy of hand-tightening screws holding carbon frame elements. This is an essential tool in my opinion for anyone owning a bike with carbon frame even if just for tightening stem screws holding the carbon handlebar and the seatpost screws. Truly a Best Buy

Great value tool!

This is the most inexpensive tool I could find with the correct torque range for cycle maintenance. It is easy to use and has a neat holder in the handle with all the most common sized hex drivers. Simple, effective and cheap!

Very neat money saving wrench

This thing looks a little plasticky in the pictures but rest assured it feels high quality in the hand. Good materials used all round. Much cheaper than a normal low range torque wrench and perfect for all those little hex bolts on your bike. As the bolt torque is written next to each bolt on my bike I was able to quickly check them all as soon as this tool arrived - hmmmm satisfying tightening session. Nice.

Workshop Tools Guide

What are home and workshop tools?

Home and workshop tools allow you to tinker around with your bike to your heart’s content. Whether that’s making a simple height adjustment or building a bike from scratch, kitting yourself out with your own mini workshop will give you hours of pleasure which will either annoy or delight your significant other(s).

Who needs a home and workshop tools?

Even novice cyclists will benefit from learning a few simple techniques. However, the more cycling you do, the more likely you are to want to learn how everything works and carry out minor repairs yourself.

What are the choices?

There are home and workshop tools available for all levels of rider, from a full tool kit to a simple torque wrench.

What should I buy with it?

Bike stands hold your steed in place to keep it steady and an apron and a pair of gloves will save your clothing from damage or smudges.

Anything else?

If in doubt, take your bike to your local bike shop for repairs. Better to have an expert fix it than to accidentally cause a fair few pounds worth of damage by having a go yourself.
