95% perfect
by Ryan W on 11/04/2020

I've used this now to inflate, roughly 25 tyres and i can say its been near perfect. The only times when it hasn't popped the bead on 1st attempt was because i was unable to remove the valve core of the wheel. The build quality is rugged and very sturdy and i can see this lasting many years. The chamber takes about 35-40 pumps to fill up and the easy twist dial on to releases all the stored air in about 5 seconds. The only thing that I'd change would be to have the option of a digital pressure gauge.

Essential for tubeless tyres
by Anonymous user on 01/02/2019

Bought this as I had some money off vouchers and there was a bit of a discount anyway. It is a lot of money but it is very well built ( and heavy) and does the job of popping on your tubeless tyres. I had tried to inflate my Mavic tubeless road tyres on my Mavic UST wheels using my old track pump to no avail. Placed this in charge position and filled with a few pumps, moved to inflate and pop tyre was sitting snuggly against rim. So glad I bought it now hater all the huffing and puffing previously.

Bike Pumps Guide

What are bike pumps?

A bike pump is essential for keeping your tyres inflated, preventing pesky pinch punctures and providing more efficient riding. Tyres gradually deflate even if your bike stays inactive for a while, so it’s good practice to top them up as often as you can.

Who needs a bike pump?

Anyone with a bike. A mini pump or CO2 cannister can be vital in getting you home after a puncture, or to work on time if you’re commuting.

What are the choices?

Traditional pumps are easy to use and inexpensive to buy. A hand pump is operated with a pumping action and is available in standard or mini size. Both types can be fitted to eyelets in your bike frame or smaller pumps will fit in a saddle bag. Track or floor pumps are great for the garage – inflating high psi levels in just a couple of movements. CO2 cannister instantly release air into your tyres and are diminutive in size.

What should I buy with it?

If your pump isn’t compatible the valve on your tyre (Presta or Schrader) you may need to buy an adaptor. CO2 cartridges require a small adaptor for use.

Anything else?

A gauge is a good way of seeing how much air you’ve added, preventing the dreaded pop sound from an overambitious inflation. Also, NEVER take CO2 cartridges with you on an aeroplane!
