Product Description

The Tortec Velocity rear pannier rack is the perfect luggage solution for hybrid and touring bikes. It's light in weight but super strong to carry all your essentials with ease. The narrow angled design keeps panniers close to the wheel for better cornering and improved performance.

The rack fits up to 28c or 1.25 tyres and can carry a maximum load of 25kg.

Occasionally, without notice, manufacturers change product design and/or specifications.

A Very Handsome Rack
by Anonymous user on 12/04/2020

A gorgeous, low-profile option for those wanting to use panniers without a bulky rack ruining the clean lines of their bike. Some manipulation might be necessary as my example didn't exactly sit parallel with the tyre. Be careful as it's soft aluminium tubing. I took a punt with the skinny version (suitable for up to 28c) with 38c Panaracer Paselas on an old Charge Filter frame and there is a good 10mm clearance between the sides of the tyre and the uprights of the rack. Results may vary for your frame / tyre combo but this might assist someone tossing up between this model and the wider Tortec Velocity 'Hybrid' rack.

Quality Commuter Rack
by roland d on 26/09/2015

I have used these rack with 30L pannier bag and a strap! It build is very minimalist and stylish. A full 30L bag and my heel has around 1 inch clearance.

Good rack
by Thomas F on 06/09/2015

Good rack, light and sits close to the bike. Could be a little cheaper.

Easy to fit, lightweight, looks great.
by James Simon T on 29/08/2015

Have only done a couple of rides with this, so can't really vouch for performance yet, but I fitted it with no problems at all and it's my first pannier rack. Seems extremely strong and sturdy considering its lightweight build and slimline style. Looks great too and fits fine on my giant rapid 2 hybrid.

Tortec velocity
by James T on 03/11/2014

Nice rack. All racks and mudguards are a bit fiddly to fit but this is ok and certainly no worse than others I've dealt with.Once on and adjusted it works well with minimum fuss and so far no annoying rattles or noise.

Brilliant commuter rack
by Adrian S on 19/10/2014

Fits perfectly to my Trek 1.2 with SKS mudguards and 700x25 tyres. Lightweight sturdy and good value for commuting or light touring. No more sweaty back rucksack. Heel clearance is fine with smallish panniers. Tredz customer service very good.

Best fast touring rack on the market
by Jon C on 18/07/2014

Very lightweight & keeps the panniers closer together to reduce drag.It doesn't have the extra angled support at the back that you get on many racks so panniers need to be loaded & adjusted in a way that prevents the back of the pannier swinging into the wheel when cornering.

The perfect racer rack
by Ben W on 28/02/2014

Ive had this rack for a couple of years now on two different bikes a Trek flat bar & the Giant Defy and it has fitted perfectly for both bikes carried plenty of weight added very little weight to my bike and generally never gotten in the way. A perfect bit of kit with a bit of adjustability to help it fit most racer frames. Highly recommended at this price...

A sexy bike rack for your road bike
by Nick B on 04/10/2013

This rack is splendid and has never let me down. It can take massive loads and is far more rock solid than any other rack I've ever tried due to the sloping angle you bags are supported on.More than all that is looks damn fine like a sleek spider perched over your road tires and only adds to the look of your bike. Love it.Clearly don't get this if you cycle roads with chunky tires but then again ditch the chunky tires and get a proper bike.

Not great
by Dan R on 30/08/2012

Will only fit properly on very narrow bikes it has to flex to fit mine Specialized Sirrus Comp 2010 and as a result is slightly skewed along the top.
