The Trek Marlin 6 Gen 3 offers an ideal step up for riders who want a real taste of trail performance with the flexibility for day-to-day use. The Alpha Silver Aluminium frame is lightweight, strong and built with modern trail geometry. Longer and slacker than previous generations for improved stability and control when descending or navigating more technical terrain.
The front end is supported by a RockShox Judy suspension fork with 100mm of coil-sprung travel, smoothing out rough paths and trails. The TurnKey lockout means you can firm it up for tarmac or climbing. With a wide 11–48T cassette, the Shimano CUES 10-speed drivetrain delivers reliable, fuss-free shifting whether you're on steep climbs or flat stretches.
Braking is handled by Tektro hydraulic discs with 160mm rotors, giving predictable stopping power in all conditions. Maxxis Ikon 2.35” tyres on tubeless-ready Bontrager Kovee wheels provide great traction, comfort and upgrade potential if you’re planning to push further off-road.
Useful details like internal cable routing, dropper post compatibility, and rack and kickstand mounts mean you can easily customise the Marlin for bikepacking, commuting or weekend loops. Smaller frame sizes (XXS and XS) feature a curved top tube for easier mounting and dismounting for younger or shorter riders.
The Marlin 6 Gen 3 hits a sweet spot between capability and comfort, offering a confident ride on light trails and fire roads, with the practicality to be your everyday workhorse or weekend explorer. A great value hardtail for growing your skills and exploring new terrain.
