The Powerfly FS+ 5 Gen 4 is designed for riders who want electric assistance for exploring trails, forest tracks and longer off-road routes. Its full-suspension platform takes the edge off rough surfaces, with 130mm of travel at the front and 120mm at the rear providing a useful balance between comfort, control and efficient pedalling.
Trek's Alpha Platinum Aluminium frame includes several features that allow you to adapt the bike to your riding. Mino Link provides adjustable geometry, while the adjustable leverage rate lets you alter the feel of the rear suspension. Trek's ABP suspension design keeps the suspension active under braking, helping the rear wheel track rough ground when you're controlling your speed on a descent.
The Removable Integrated Battery 2.0 system houses the 800Wh battery neatly inside the downtube while allowing it to be removed without tools. This makes charging away from the bike easier and provides straightforward access when required. Rack and mudguard mounts add useful versatility if you want to equip the Powerfly for everyday riding or longer adventures.
Bosch's Performance Line CX drive system provides responsive assistance that adapts to rider input, with strong support particularly useful when climbing steep or loose terrain. The large 800Wh battery complements the full-power motor, providing plenty of capacity for rides with lots of climbing or longer days away from the trailhead.
A Bosch Purion 200 combines the display and controls into a compact handlebar-mounted unit. It puts key information including speed, battery charge and assistance mode within easy view while allowing you to change settings without reaching for a separate display.
RockShox suspension manages rough terrain, with the air-sprung Psylo Silver RC fork allowing pressure to be adjusted for rider weight. At the rear, the Deluxe Select shock works with Trek's suspension platform to improve comfort and help the rear tyre maintain contact with uneven ground.
The Shimano drivetrain combines Deore components with an XT M8100 10-51t cassette. Its broad 12-speed range provides low gearing for steep off-road climbs while retaining useful higher ratios for flatter and faster sections.
Bontrager Gunnison Pro XR 29x2.4in tyres use a dual-compound construction to balance rolling efficiency and grip. They're tubeless ready, as are the Bontrager Kovee rims, giving you the option to remove the inner tubes for improved puncture protection and greater flexibility with tyre pressures.
A 170mm TranzX dropper post lets you quickly lower the saddle before steeper or more technical sections, giving you extra room to move around the bike. Combined with the wide alloy handlebar and four-piston Shimano brakes, it helps make the Powerfly easier to control when the trail becomes more demanding.
With adjustable frame features, a removable high-capacity battery and practical mounting points, the Powerfly FS+ 5 isn't limited to one type of riding. It's a versatile choice for riders who want electric assistance for exploring further off-road while retaining the comfort and control of a full-suspension mountain bike.
